So im thinking about coming back but before i pay for a sub again i want to test the waters sort to speak. Can you buy tokens with gold pooled from the account? or is it still bound to server?

On an account with unpaid time on it, you can now level a character to level 20 (old level 40-ish) in any expansion except Shadow Lands, with a 1k gold limit on the character.

But tokens are like 140k gold?
I think Nok was explaining that you can test the waters with low level characters, not that you could use them to farm gold for a token.
