I didnt play wrath back in the day and now that my guild killed algalon on 25, i’m actually excited for TOGC.
From what i’ve read so far; it’s a bit different from tier 7 and 8 since you can buy all tier pieces with emblems of triumph but i can’t find more information about it. Not only that but apparently you can also upgrade the items to heroic GS/Item level? I could be wrong on that one.
You can buy tier with trophies that drop in the raid. People ran 10 man insanity runs to get more. Emblems are required too.
TOGC “should” also be a better time for arena. The clear/progression time requirement for pve is pretty soft compared to ulduar, and the impact on pvp (mainly just trinkets) is lower relatively, as opposed to this astronomical 213 to 252 jump we’re seeing now. I say “should” because I know it probably won’t in practice, as arena participation continues to be low for whatever reasons.
What about the heroic token? Does it only drop on heroic? Or You can buy tier 9 heroic gear with regular tokens?
