Today, automation. Tomorrow, boosting?

main problem is the way mythic dungeons , heroic and mythic raids are handled , instead of having a tool to queue up you gotta go through the wall of lfg that usually doesnt work.

For cash, yes. For gold, no. It’s existed since Vanilla.

Selling things in a game with an economy isn’t against “the spirit of the game.”

How?

Use an add-on to filter them out. Problem solved.

Gotta say leaving trade seems to be the best answer. The last thing trade related I remember seeing on it was some guy holding Loque hostage and demanding people pay him or he kills it.

Having to leave trade or not use the LFG system is the equivalent of being told just don’t go into “bad” neighborhoods. I shouldn’t have to leave an official in game channel because it is being misused by the community.

Just wait until my android starts playing the game for me.

Thats because that game has been going in a direction you are loosing the casual player base that filled the LFG … people hate the go go go … meta > Holy Pal, druid, rogue, mage and DH or Pal build … any other dps are miles behind… look at raider io dungeon leader board class leader thingy, its a joke, and if you dont fit the spec your the fat kid who smells of cheese who’s last chair on cello in orchestra. Hence … more people quitting game- why subs are so low now… current dev team needs scraped from top down badly

And that’s the problem… the game isn’t difficult but people act like it is. “You have to have the AOTC because without it we cant win!” Rejected because people need a 1200 Raider IO to join a +10 mythic which is a joke. People like to feel like they are moving forward, not being blocked from content they should be doing because a 3rd party and a toxic community demands a higher standard then is necessary for easy content.

i feel like people are in some alternate reality.

about the only runs which go for gold, are being sold by guilds.

anything in the group finder, will expect you to pay real money.
they don’t care that it’s against the rules.
they’re already breaking the rules by advertising in group finder.
they’re already breaking the rules by running businesses to sell services.
they’re breaking LAWS by making money from selling stuff which isn’t theirs.

Won’t happen because it helps with the sales of WoW Tokens which means more profits for Activision Blizzard.

You get it, Blizzard is a stock trading business with shareholders and meetings on HOW to make more money. They obviously run a fine line on keeping the game appealing but bottom line they are in it for the gold and cash dollars.
They watched how Chinese gold farmers did it and they got in on the business plain and simple.

Its not “difficult” its just not fun if you look at complaints… its boring … running dungeons all week for a drop … and typically something you have or stats that are useless …

Slow gear, no world to explore, no real world content, just flat dry unimaginative dry content.

Ive gone back to my weekly scrabble group at the retirement home… way more fun.

when players are paying these companies real money, it bypasses tokens altogether.

so how are blizz profiting?

Yeah people live in an their bubble have no idea the massive black market that surrounds them, basically at all times.

The OP specifically said

My response was to that and not about people spending real money for carries . Which I do agree should not happen but as long as they are for gold Blizz will do nothing because those help with token sells.

Agreed. Based on what I personally have seen, it’s getting worse too.

I’ll never pay for something like that, but just out of curiosity I went to one of those sites to see how much they were charging - the site I looked at was charging $200 for KSM. Are you freaking kidding me? That’s over a year of subscription cost.

If I ever get KSM it’s going to be because I grinded it out. Period.

The thread in question is about running/boosting for gold. RMT is already a bannable offense. Report those posts and move on. If you think accountability is not good enough, or reports do little, then make a thread about it, you have my vote to make it better, but as it stands currently it is already a bannable offense and morally does not belong in the game.

The problem with tokens is that they’re a legalized bridge to RMT. I spoke about them because, given the spirit of the thread (gold trading for runs), they’re the only reason I’d see this thread was made.

and another thing.

People seem to forget in modern WoW, gold = dollars. Buying boosts for gold is just the same as buying for real money, so long as you can buy gold with real money.

the op also mentioned ads in the group finder.

It is bad, it would be like me paying 5 NBA players to be on my team so I could win the YMCA championships.

I do, because it takes from the pureness of the game, people who get mounts or titles should get it because they are legit good players, not because they paid.
