i feel like this is a non issue because quite literally anybody can join a pug normal, not talk if they don’t want to, finish the raid (especially with our gear currently) and leave. the bar of expectations in a normal raid are lower than mine in real life

Yes this is the first seasonal mount from normal. No one is disputing that. However because this is a 3 raid set they made it more accessible by giving it to normal.
Either way normal getting the mount doesnt mean LFR should nor was it ever intended too.
Its not kept from anyone. If people make the choice to not earn it then they dont get it+.

Someone made a bad call to keep it out of LFR.
No point splinting hairs on past tense.
As long as it kept being talked about its still on the table to be changed.

It’d be ironic if Snozh’s very thread, (this thread) which was intended to dunk on the LFR playerbase, was instrumental in getting the decision overturned.
Then all of the gatekeepers would be like, “I NeVeR sAiD iT sHoULd bE nOrMaL, OnLy…”

That’s your opinion. Anyone with a clue knows it was done to up the numbers in normal raiding to drive people into it.
It’s a reach to expect a mount for LFR
Doubtful after they specifically clarified the achievement.
The small amount of people complaining on the forums is an extreme minority.
This isn’t a “dunk” on people that enjoy LFR. This is a wake up call for the people that thought LFR was getting the mount.
No such thing as gatekeeping in this game.

It’s not going to work, since the SL raids are bad and already been played out.
Not when you could get mount before regardless of them being a specific, timely reward.

It’s putting a requirement on an item. Gatekeeping would be making it so certain players couldn’t join normal groups.
Blizz isn’t limiting the access to the slimecat. People who refuse to do normal are gatekeeping themselves if anything.

That’s fine. I never said normal was hard. Heroic isn’t even hard. The hardest part is finding a set schedule with a like-minded group of people to spend the time and get it done.
