To all Shadow Priest and Ret Pally Solo-queuers

  1. Respec to holy/disc;
  2. Heal.

Your win rate will significantly improve.

That is all.

What a stupid post. If you care about winning so much queue premade.

I like my melee mage. #CarryMeMorePls

If solo-queuers don’t care about winning, why do they keep QQing about premades stomping pugs?

The same reason you’re QQ about people playing the spec that they want

I’m not QQing. I queue as a healer and thus have a decent win rate. I am happy. Rets and spriests? Not so much.

Nah, gonna keep playing the game the way I enjoy. Don’t like it? Form a premaid:

I am not asking you to stop being selfish and undermining 14 other people. I am just giving you advice how to win more, if you aren’t pleased with your win rate.

My winrate as Ret is fine as long as i’m not facing a premade.

Try holy. It will be “finer”.

Let them play how they want to play. If it’s fun for them, who are you to tell them they’re not allowed to.

I don’t even care about my own WR or rank, much less the 14 other people that can’t stand having an suboptimal BG spec in their group.

I played a resto FC PVP spec while I was ranking and I did a lot of PUGs. The healing part was for sure rather frustrating for a number of reasons most notably because people were just nasty when they didn’t get heals for any reason. These reasons including them not peeling (so I’m fighting instead of or while trying to heal), them running away, and trying to keep up the whole team as PUGs always have few healers. It would have been more fun to not play a healer.

As PUGs are all about “having fun” and not about teamwork, which keeps being mentioned on these forums, there isn’t really anything wrong with people doing what they want.

I’ve also known a lot of shadow priests to drop out of form and heal which is interesting.

There’s no difference between someone playing spriest or ret pally and someone playing hunter or rogue/warrior. You’re still going to have the same number of healers, if they weren’t playing “dps healer” they’d most likely choose DPS instead of healer.

A well played spriest or ret will heal when required anyway. They’re better at healing when required than a healer trying to DPS if that’s needed.

Having said that, I have to blow recklessness on SPs at my level or I cant touch em. Im pretty bad but its defn a thing.

it sure is apt to compare a melee mage to a shadow priest, isn’t it?

In terms of healing others, sure. Hey, let me play what I want to play, and enjoy the game on my own terms, mmmmkay?

I mean its not optimal but I take a good ret/good spriest over those backpaddle holy pallys and backpaddle holy priests any day.

Good spriests and rets heal the grp anyway and dont tunnel dps. That said most of em are trash so you have a trash player with a trash spec.

If those 8 people zerging farm won’t peel off to help BS while it’s under assault or refuse to defend anything, having spriests or rets on your side is the least of your problems.

Players are gonna play what they want and how they want and calling them selfish or accusing them of undermining 14 other people will not change that.

My win rate is fine, btw. I have no problem playing a support role when needed. I’ll dispel poly off our healer, hunters mark off rogues, frost nova for warriors. I’ll even shield and heal in a crunch, but I’m still going to PvP as shadow and enjoy it.
