Hopefully to avoid shenanigans in the later parts of the run? Getting kicked at the start is indeed about the same as the 15 min queue cooldown. However, past that…it matters. The penalty needs to exist or people abuse the system. This is why we can’t have nice things.

If someone is in a dungeon long enough for the 15 minute CD to expire, then it probably means they contributed and the group is pretty far in. It’s beyond silly to suggest they should receive another penalty after that point.

Yep. People tend to forget this.
I once saw a run go completely smooth up until the second to last boss in old Grim Batol. And then suddenly, someone died, flipped out, grief pulled the boss to troll us, vanished (cause Rogue) then started trashing everyone. Tank initiated the kick and that I absolutely voted for.

It has been more than a decade now in the TS/CS MVP program and I still don’t even have a T-shirt.
We get to ask questions of the CS forum blues when we need clarification on policies or procedures. Oh, and we get to be green with no power.
Mostly it just means that even if someone does not like an answer, it is probably correct based on current info. The TS/CS MVPs tend to be up on policy and current issues related to them.
I am not sure more than one or two of the Community MVPs even post anymore. It never had any line to the Devs, it was just for forum interactions deemed constructive and they could contact the Community Managers to ask questions.

really just needs to be moved off the center of the screen so we can process for a couple seconds before voting.
Causing it to be a rushed decision isnt helping anything with bogus kicks.
some of these trolls know just when to iniate a kick to have it happen that way.
Snowpine and I mentioned a timer countdown on the yes option.

lol…yeah, I dont even remember how many kicks Ive seen right before the last boss.
If they made it that far they absolutely dont need to be kicked that late in the run.

That probably would be a good thing to try and see if it helps.
That and move it off center of the screen…just add the kick box to the UI Editor so we can put it where we want it.

You definitely get the impression that the green texts represent the company in the way that blues do in here…and when theyre behaving in a way as to sound trolling, it isnt going to sit well for anyone being targeted by it.
I never played games with it as some admit, but before I started healing I assumed the kick was happening for a good reason and hit yes a bit myself.
Once Im healing and watching everyones health bars, damage on details and can see their dot on Farmhud, I KNOW if theyre participating or not…so many bogus kicks, including for crap like ‘AFK’ where I could lteraly see the person wasnt AFK and was contributing.
The kick alone is bad enough but the juvenile bigoted hate speech crap in the reason box was over the top…
Tried to go heal in classic era dungeons instead and lol…the kick abuse was even worse.
Cant even imagine what personality type it takes to kick players for no reason in classic dungeons that you dont even need a full group to complete…we finished with 3 players often enough, some times missing a tank and a healer lol

precisely why some of us would like the system to monitor our accounts and if abnormal numbers of kicks were happening on that account a GM would take a look and see if those players were kicking players to disrupt game play.
We’ll never know and we’ll keep getting gaslit that it’s not a problem at all.
If I were a new player and I had this happen a couple of times, I’d check out and say screw this. Is it a small percentage that abuses it? probably. Can that small percentage effect a decent amount of peoples game play with faulty tools? yep.
You’re very preoccupied with claiming there is no “systemic issue” with vote to kick and how it operates… while looking the other way when it’s pointed out to you different scenarios where it’s not functioning quite right for the average player. Now you yourself are admitting that it doesn’t even consistently function correctly when trying to use it… which I have had happen as well for what it’s worth.
