No, that’s not it. Humans in general gravitate towards what they already think is correct, and will often double down on that when presented with evidence that conflicts.
In a very real sense, it’s the same in LFR as it is in LFD, as both require 1/5 of the group to get the vote to appear.
topic has been beaten to death…so instead of just muting the thread because they dont like it, they show up in droves to assist in beating it into glue lol.
Funny how 145 post of yours in, and you still don’t read anything yourself.
People are telling you how the vote to kick system works, how people can initiate a vote-kick for any reason, as long as the vote-kick passes, and you are, spamming post after post, accusing people of doing vote-kicks for no reason when they are translating you to what the actual policy is.
Like seriously, is there ever a day, where you just come to the forums once, and not purposely spam a thread and troll the forums?
exactly.
which is why this topic will continue to come up as long as players feel abused by this system that is sanctioned by the company themselves to allow abuses of players, kicking them, wasting their game time, for literally no reason at all.
the kick is required. the timeout isnt. Remove it.
blizzard created the problem with giving us the tool then telling us its ok to kick others for literally no reason at all.
People are who they are and bring themselves to anything they do.
problem 1 + problem 2 = a much larger problem
at the very least blizzard needs to change their position so this crowd has no scapegoat when they kick others to try to ruin the game for them.
Blizzard does not condone or encourage kicking players who have not been in some way disruptive to the group.
Blizzard doesnt have the manpower to deal with the tickets resulting from this position, so we are relying on players to behave themselves and treat others as the social contract presents.
that would at least take way the “Im allowed to do it” nonsense and put the blame for bogus kicks where it belongs…on players instead of blizzard
You do know I have the freedom to respond to any person, or any topic, whether you like me too or not, as long as I am not violating the Code of Conduct. So exactly what am I going to get told?
I mean, if you’re really that upset of me responding to you, why don’t you actually place me on ignore instead of typing it on the forums and not placing anyone on ignore?
as long as this crowd cant see them in here, totally agree.
The software knows our Btag…players dont need to see it.
ive already been contacted by someone from this forum, I dont need any more of that, thanks.
I didn’t even make the top 24 posters!!?!?! But I’m supposed to be the main problem!!
Funny how the top 5 account for literally half of the replies over all…but it’s a yuge problem…very yuge
In one breathe, they say that nobody wants to get rid of the kick, then they say to get rid of it. Clearly, none of the people who want the kick or the debuff removed were around when this system went live without both. It was so incredibly broken. The queues didn’t work, you’d kick someone who was holding the group hostage and poof, they’d be the first person back in your group again.
Like it or not, the kick is necessary. Like it or not, the debuff is necessary. I’d agree with Mirasol, the timer could absolutely be adjusted to be in-line with the average time it takes to complete a dungeon…perhaps with the average time to replace a kicked person added to it.
I’m almost certain that there are some people who, while they say they know how to put people on ignore, they have zero clue how to do so. Nor can they mute a thread. They need to be able to make up this sort of drama/issue so that they have something, anything, to complain about.
Personally, it’s best to put them on ignore. They’ll never put you on ignore and you’ll just end up stooping to their level. It’s not worth it.
No, I think she is close to being correct. I rarely experience or see kicks, I’ve only seen during the entire expansion, a total of 4 kicks, 2 towards me, other 2 towards another person. Now, I can’t say what the kicks towards me were, because I don’t know the reason, and the 2 that were kicks were people AFK’ing/DC’ing.
I know right. They know they are spamming and trolling the forums, they recently had a month long action for doing the exact same thing if I remember correctly, it is like they just don’t learn. And yet, it is always someone elses fault.
I swear, if they are like this on the forums, then I am going to get they are probably toxic within the game, which makes me think they have been kicked out of the groups for being toxic, though this is just my own speculation.
Yeah, I agree. I should place them on ignore and not engage with them further. I’ll let the consequences of their own actions be determined by the moderation.
People need to bring attention to things like this. Giving the status to a forum troll completely dissolves any meaning or merit that it had.
You’re not alone in this. I had someone who disagreed with me on the forums send me a nasty in-game mail which contained vulgarity. They were reported, no action was taken.
Because you have no argument. So you’ve got nothing else to do but make baseless accusations. The person I replied to specifically said they barely run queued content. So don’t go blaming me for their own words.
Even in the last threads on this topic, the OP’s of those threads said this “issue” wasn’t common.
And once again: Blizzard has addressed other issues with dungeons. Because they have their own metrics. Until they tell us otherwise, this isn’t a systemic issue.
