why do you think someone who uses their sub time to post on the forums instead of playing should eclipse heroic mode in terms of ilvl?
My thought is that killing the hard boss is an accomplishment. Many people play because they want to be challenged and overcome those challenges. The real reward isn’t the gear, it’s the experience of playing. One-shotting sand crabs might give some folks a thrill, but many others want to join up with their friends and/or guild and tackle the hard stuff.
When you’re playing to enjoy yourself, you don’t care what other people do or get, you only care how enjoyable your experience is.
So, you are saying half of my guild doesn’t deserve AoTC because they parse grey on warcraftlogs?
No, I’d say they did a great job if they parse that low and still got aotc. I’d say they are doing awesome and I give them praise for aotc.
Wrong, they got carried by the high parsers of the guild.
you haven’t even competed a raid this expac so where do you get the idea you have any clue as to why people raid?
you haven’t even done one yet you find the energy to tell us why we should do it?
where does this amount of self-importance come from, i must know why you think you know better when you haven’t even done a raid.
Why do you believe raiding means “earning”? Why do you think getting it through other content is leeching? Are you somehow doing work that I am taking from?
Right, it’s people who are actually logging on to the game and playing BFA. It doesn’t include people who bought 2 years of subs with gold or people who are on auto renew but don’t log in anymore. Some would say it’s more relevant than subs.
If they got carried by guildies, good for them. It’s nice that the better players helped the worse players. That has little to nothing to do with the welfare gear being tossed around though.
maybe stay on topic?
It is all a mater of content he approves of.
That’s because the speed of gearing is deliberately left out because it destroys a large chunk of the argument against WF/TF.
It is more rewarding at a faster pace. The people doing harder content have many more avenues at getting better gear compared to people who do just world quests and war fronts. That is an inescapable fact that you are leaving out so you can pretend to have a point.
It’s almost amusing how the people who attack WF/TF are the wannabe elitists who want to nerf casual players so they can feel better about themselves.
Realmpop US 120 only: 3,483,164
Realmpop EU 120 only: 4,102,830
And realmpop doesn’t even show China or Korea.
Then you’re looking at the wrong game because this game has always had handouts. And you should only care about a leech if they are directly impeding your own progress.
Raiding, rated bg’s, arenas, and keys are how gear should be earned in WoW. You know, meaningful end-game content. If you aren’t doing meaningful content you don’t need meaningful gear.
This topic is a slightly reddish paste on the ground from all the dead horse beating it’s gotten.
Titan forge isn’t great but I really think the greater cause is catch up.
If WQ geared for normal, normals for heroic, and so on up the chain of content, than WQ’s would only TF to 355 instead of 415.
TF isn’t such a big issue in that case because it effects every tier the same and it quickly becomes more efficient to do the next level of content then grind a lower level tier hoping for TF’s.
And honestly, if someone wanted to grind out 30 or more LFR’s looking for 385 piece instead of just doing one M6-7 a week for the same gear, more power to them.
We have some people in the guild that haven’t logged in for two weeks that are still playing. A two week limit really means nothing to me.
You’ve never really paid any attention to how gear was acquired before this expansion because welfare gear has always existed in one form or another.
You keep saying this but it has never existed in the manner it does today, never has gear been tossed at you like it’s nothing until this expansion. Catch up mechanics are one thing, pure welfare that we have in BfA is another.
Um… What?
Same can be said for pvp, mythic +, heroic raids, normal raids, just seems like know people complain for no reason other than to complain on these forums
Wrong, it is on topic. This topic is about people getting gear they don’t “deserve”.
