You seem to not understand that this isn’t just a one-of thing where I’m directing my focus.
My wife gives me crap because I take it to the extreme in everything. She rolls her eyes about my lawn because I have a “domination line” between my house and our neighbors because my lawn is so much more perfect, lush, and dark green, and I admire it quite a lot.
I like the current system. I’m happy that masterloot is gone. I’m happy that forging happens. I like the multiple paths of progression and the many ways to work on gear across a multiple tiers of difficulty. You don’t have to like me calling a spade a spade but it’s not ironic or salty. Might want to check some definitions.
I agree, or rather, the MMO is never supposed to be “done.” What that means and how they go about it are up for debate. I prefered in the past where you’d hit a hard plateau and be “temporarily done” with at least that aspect. You knew it wasn’t permanent; there was always something new coming. You were never truly “done.” They’ve just shifted it away from a stepped pyramid to a smooth line, at the expense of lots of the things I, and many others, care about.
You definitely need a break from this thread. It can become a obsession to be heard. I have been told myself from my husband not to continue in this thread and to get off of the forum. By seeing what this thread has been doing to you I think it might be in my best interest to get off of here for awhile… I hope you take my departure as a sign to give yourself a big break because spinning wheels with onlookers that don’t agree will continue for hours and or days. Leave now to keep your sanity in check at least for awhile. ~
First, just for laughs Magic Seeker says hi. Second, attacking me instead of addressing my position isn’t an argument, it’s a fallacy.
Why do I care what others do with their gear? I don’t. Trade it if you want. Don’t trade it if you don’t want to. But the choice is yours, not your guild leadership. That’s a great thing as far as I’m concerned. I could go deeper on the topic but there have been many threads discussing it. This isn’t one of them.
Its not a fallacy its a question. you are dodging the question, and its a fair one. I too want to hear the answer. The excuse i use to hear all the time was “well i plan to start raiding later” and this proves to never be true
Oi, of course you don’t understand. Or you’re intentionally being obtuse. Guilds that didn’t use ML or some form of micromanagement of loot distribution were few and far between. They weren’t common because it benefits a guild, and more specifically the people managing the guild, to micromanage loot. The sheer fact that ML as a choice existed resulted in almost no guilds who did any content using anything else.
First, Sisters of Elune is the most dead server I’ve ever seen. I actually farm mounts and rares with class trials on that server because there is nobody on it. You could have downed EoE while ICC was out and probably get magic seeker on SoE server.
Second, no trading gear is not your choice. 5 ilvls higher and you cant trade to your guild mates. You have to disenchant it for some reason. So if you didn’t like Master Loot you should have joined a guild that didn’t use it, instead of come in here and say it’s a bad system. I don’t like pet battles but I don’t go around saying they are bad and should be removed.
Attacking this character is a fallacy. It wasn’t a question. I answered the question. I’ve raided on about 10 different toons, many times simultaneously, since the start of the game. This isn’t one that I ever did raid content on in any meaningful way. Hell, I’m not even sure why it’s my forum avatar. Must’ve switched when they upgraded the forums.
