I’m not here to make assumptions I apologize~

You may want to read that one again and think about it a bit.

You can get a good 395 from the medal vendor. Don’t complain about ilvl if you aren’t going to be chasing ilvl.

So hes mentioned its not about ilvl. Also Sockets are very strong on rings. My 390 ring beat my 355 out by under 5% due to a socket

Incorrect. I’ll complain about even NEEDING to chase it in the first place when historically I didn’t have to. I could raid log, get BIS, and never worry about gear for the rest of the tier. It’s not the ilvl. It’s the power people get from ilvl and how that sways the purity of the competition I seek.

he said this previously.

Your self worth is predicated upon you believing you’re worth more than other people. lol, ah man…that’s funny. Hey, whatever you gotta tell yourself, just don’t expect everyone else to cater to your narcissistic garbage.

This is a true statement I had better ring stats on a lower level ring than I am wearing now. Since Gear score seems to be the ticket to getting the level 400 sky drops It’s a toss up of wearing a better stated ring or a ring that raises your gear level

I normally don’t have to, because it happens innately in society. Garbage people have garbage lives and complain about things like healthcare. While I don’t expect everyone in the community to care about my motivations the way I do, the game did allow my motivation to flourish in the past. Only recently did it change.

so being competitive = narcissist? Damn thats a reach

In his defense, my hyperbole that I tend to meet people with in this forum kinda indicates “zomg I NEED TO BEAT PEOPLE TO VALIDATE MUHSELF BECAUSE I THINK I"M AMAZING!”

He just doesn’t understand that.

I do it intentionally because I’m sick of trying to talk to non-competitive people about the reasons behind “why are you competitive!?”

Huh where did you drop off the Forum Follow and venture in to health care…I am in agreement maybe you should give this a rest for awhile.

Tying your self worth to beating someone else is the problem. I wouldn’t call it being narcissistic myself but that was one of the saddest things I have seen anyone post on this forum in the 6 or so years I have been reading it.

There are healthy levels of being competitive. Can you honestly tell me based upon the things he’s written here that the level he takes it to is healthy?

“Self worth for me is tied to comparative worth versus other people, and man do I enjoy knowing I’m worth more than someone.”

“Garbage people have garbage lives and complain about things like healthcare.”

Idk im not a doctor. Im not stupid enough to say what is and isnt a healthy level of competition. He can play and enjoy the game however he sees fit

Ill be sure to come to you for now on when im diagnosing my mental problems since you seem to have a great grasp on it

Honestly, your mentality seems far more toxic than his

That’s a nice opinion. I find the saddest thing I see on these forums to be complacent people who don’t enjoy being pushed to be better. Who lack motivation to self-improve. Who want to just breeze through life without the quintessential thing that is the key difference between amazing people and mediocre ones.

Nothing disgusts me more than someone who is okay being mediocre at anything they do.

Unfortunately I don’t enjoy the respite you do. I see this kind of crap posted on here daily, if not hourly.

This is a game. There are plenty of people who play a game to relax from life.

Nothing you do in this game is going to last forever, some people are smart enough to put that energy into things that will last forever, aka real life achievements.

Hyperbole isn’t an argument. But nice attempt to be snarky I guess? Why so salty?

Irony at its finest

I understand how you feel. But you’re not going to get good feedback from people who are casual and they are the majority, the thrill of the challenge is no longer what the mmorpg market strives for anymore nor it’s players in majority. It comes down to if people have standards. While it doesn’t matter what the random guy next to you is wearing (in their mind), it does diminish the standard of the game and it’s challenge/rewards because it ignores a principal of effort = rewards and every time that’s proposed they think the “It’s just a video game” excuse makes up for it somehow. These standards do mold the game in a positive direction, especially since it creates goals and sets up obstacles that people can overcome if it’s worth their vested interest. When the effort/reward portion of it goes away you will notice there is a lack of motivation to do continue. The overall issue is people know it’s true but will refuse to acknowledge it because it’s simply inconvenient to them and their personal happiness will always trump the overall community.

No you can’t get the same gear from that easier content you’re wrong.

This is an mmo you’re not supposed to be done with it.
