Titanforging and Warforging make me upset

No one goes out thinking they’re going to get it. We all know it’s extremely unlikely. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible. I think YOU underestimate just how far some people are willing to go.

And besides that, since you know it’s theoretically possible, it still gives negative feelings for plenty of people.

Also, your lack of imagination isn’t my problem. It does, has, and will continue to happen.

Oh I don’t doubt there are some people who think all kinds of things. I just don’t think a game should be designed around those kinds of things.

I have not seen a 425 level gear given out for content playing. You don’t like to content play I don’t like to raid I don’t cross into your game play and most likely you don’t cross in to mine. So all in all why are so many people so damn upset if the content player gets a few 400 level gear. It isn’t hurting your play style in any shape or form. I have no qualms if Raiding does produce higher gear I actually admire those which can withstand the tedium and tenacity that it takes to raid. I for one can’t stand the drama nor the time spent with my mind not on really wanting to do raiding once I happen to be in one. I’d rather be out in the WoW world questing and enjoying the time I spend doing so.

I love the hyperbolic people who argue as if there’s someone who just does LFR and is running around at 415+ ilvl. We know it’s a lie, not exactly sure why they keep regurgitating the same tired, fake argument.

Ah, I disagree. You always design around best and worst possible cases.

How about someone running around severely outgearing other people who clear the same highest level of content they do specifically because they got really lucky with loot or choose to brute-force the slot machine by doing everything else, regardless of how mundane or beneath their abilities? Regardless of if they actually enjoy the activity or not?

Is that not a problem in your mind?

Just exactly who is doing that, not anyone I know. Sure there is the guy who claims his guildies got 425 trinkets from the turtles, but I have characters in two guilds both with more members than his and I bet I can’t find a single person who got a 425 trinket from that emissary.

What’s the problem? People that have impulse/self control issues engage in unhealthy behavior like playing through all possible content even though they hate it for the extremely rare chance of getting a high titanforge. That’s on them not on the game.

All I read was: i don’t like when people get stuff equal or better to mine because i’m an entitled selfish brat.

I’d post a screen shot from our guild member of a fancy 425 from world boss, but forum rules and lack of caring to rehost the image after editing it. Suffice to say, it happens plenty. Basically every tier, I’m outgeared by someone in our raid (let alone all the other people I’m actually competing against on warcraftlogs) by 5-10 ilvls. That’s huge considering our damage has near doubled with a mere 15 ilvls.

Excuse me are you referring to people like myself having no self control and or impulse playing for liking content playing. That is a very harsh demeaning load of bull to lay on anyone who enjoys content playing. The Gear Smear Campaign is out in force with comments and taking low blows such as yours.

All I read was: i need to get stuff equal or better than others for doing nothing because i’m an entitled selfish brat.

Sorry just wanted to try the “generalize everyone who doesnt agree with me” hat

… no

Are we supposed to buy you a box of tissues or something? The tier spread is 15 ilvl. People will vary by that amount based upon how lucky they get with drops. Exactly as they would have pre-PL when you could do the same over and over and it just wouldn’t drop the trinket you needed (or any other piece). You’re literally whining on the forums because your own guildies have slightly higher ilvl than you. Maybe you should take a step back from the game if your self esteem and/or sense of worth are so tied to your relative ilvl to your own guildies.

I still do not believe a 425 dropped for anyone from a world boss. Not in my time playing~

Then you’re obviously not hyper-competitive.

Edit: All good. It’s easy to overlook the tiny indicator on the top right denoting who the reply is to when in a fast moving chain like this.

Neither are you - you have 365 rings still. I am not surprised other people out gear you in straight ilvl. There is no reason for 365 rings anymore.

It’s not tied to ilvls. It’s tied to parses and competition. I’m like this with basically anything in life and it’s driven me to basically be good at anything I try with ease. Self worth for me is tied to comparative worth versus other people, and man do I enjoy knowing I’m worth more than someone.

I have yet to get 400 rings, and if you don’t understand that a 365 ring with a socket has more stats than a 385 without one, then you’re dumb. I have 6 385 rings in my bags right now.
