I don’t mind them nerfing or changing stuff around on our classes that’s the fun of SoD but the continual small tweaks not being addressed publicly Is absolutely VILE.
I literally went from my pet sharing BFD Boon with me to it not in an hour today- I went from my pet having 49% DR to 44% with no notice/announcement or otherwise. Once again I don’t mind these things being changed- it’s more so the lack of notice and far the line goes between giving notice to a change to not.
This effects how we gear for soloing, it effects our damage and DPS, and we should be able to have some notice to respond to these changes or at very least anticipate them.
I’m now entertaining the idea of getting specific sets of gear for soloing Versus raid. Which I’m not sure what other classes have to carry around multiple sets of gear, weapons sure- But it feels like they’re going to ninja change hunter into needing to have more number crunching about our gear, for soloing, until its mindless to even try to respond to the changes because they happen every two weeks if not more often than that…
What does this mean for hunter at 40? Rebuffs? More complaints? What’s the point of trying to make our pets decent off-tanks if they keep nerfing every part of that slowly over time? At least be consistent in your intent as far as I’m concerned-- and very least be clear about changes.

I agree with you that stealth changes are bad, and they should be announced both publicly and in advance.

It’s called Season of Discovery. They did say (quite clearly) that SoD was basically going to be in PTR mode the whole time.

It absolutely is fine I don’t mind it at all- I just want some notice- Having Boon on pet is a huge deal. That’s worthy of at least a forum post.

How did they nerf pet mitigation?
That should be done through introduction of new content- or new abilities and quests- or even items. Not slightly tweaking things over and over and over and over again. If you took the composition of all the “small tweaks” to hunter that could be its own series of patch notes alone. Which again I don’t mind the changes just after doing it basically every week I feel there should be SOME form of notice. What other class gets this much behind the scenes tweaking with no notification?
Maybe people will take me seriously now.

More nerfs will be coming. Before phase 2, we will be up to a total of 15 hunter nerfs since launch. Totalling to at least 50 nerfs by end of SoD.
If they were all good decisions I could sit through 1000 nerfs to any class, and another thing nerfs before launch do not count as nerfs btw (they told you these were experimental)
Chimera was probably the equivalent of an instant cast aimed shot before the nerf because it ignored armor, AND it procced serpent dmg, the change was warranted and I’m enjoying it on my hunter.
Stealth nerfs are bad and everything should be transparent, justified hunter nerf or no.

I seriously doubt that, I have played many hunters. You are not going to be stacking druid leather for “soloing”, tell me otherwise but this is nuts. Are you tanking world bosses?
I’m open to hearing about it, but honestly you just stack agility for soloing and raiding, and then you stack agility/stam for pvp.
my mage has almost a full set of pvp/pve gear each
same for priest, more if I choose to go shadow
and shaman
and hunter
shaman also has enhance set which will branch into dps/tank as it improves, also elemental gear.
If something gets 50 nerfs, and it’s still broken/dumb, chances are they needed the original nerfs.

We are at 14 confirmed nerfs already for hunter. This is just incompetency, hunter isn’t even represented more than 3% of top 100 dps.
Are we sure this was a stealth nerf or something unintended that they’ll hotfix tomorrow? Pets receiving the boon was not breaking PvE in any capacity. PvP is where everything is blown out of proportion, but once the pet or player die, the boon is lost so it’s not that big of a deal there.

We don’t have any keys to press. Unlike Paladins we didn’t get three extra buttons to use. We didn’t even get one.
