I’ve been running frost for the smooth leveling, and it’s definitely been fun! It seems like I may complete quests a little too fast, as I’m already well into Westfall’s storyline, and only at level 16. Should I run Deadmines to fill the gap until the next zone? It’s been a while for me, and I originally played Warrior back in the day, which was much more difficult than this.
Boost your character to 58 and go to outland that’s my advise. Otherwise you will cap by the time WOTLK is out.
turn back
That’s a good idea. You might want to make sure you get the stockades quest chains ready for when you’re closer to 20.
Enjoy the actual game experience, have fun, and ignore the naysayers.
Frost is by far easiest for leveling, especially once you get the improved blizzard talents, which will make questing that much easier. Mages are always sought after in dungeons, and I’m sure Deadmines has some solid blue items, and I believe a quest or two that would offer some good xp. Downside is may be time consuming to find lower level dungeon groups depending on how many people are in the area, so I wouldn’t waste too much time looking for a group. Other than that, just rinse and repeat. Int and Stam gear will be your friend for aoe kills. Once you get the hang of grouping up larger packs and taking them out, it really becomes a breeze. Just have fun with it!
I’m pretty casual at this point, so this isn’t really a deterrent for me
Didn’t even think about this! Thank you
Was just watching a video on this only a few moments ago Seems like some easy XP
Tip: just dont
Focus on professions early. Its more fun to do it along the way than have to go back later. Welcome back to the game and have fun!
Dont build Agility for “faster fireballs” like I did.
My personal advice would be go over to Darkshore and do some of the quest there. The increased exp really kicks in at lvl 20. You can try to find a Deadmines group, and should definitely have the quest ready if you do, but don’t let not finding dungeon groups stop your leveling. Remember the quests in Redridge start around lvl 18 or so.
As for professions, personally I’d wait until max level. For now, just sell everything you can. You need to get all your mounts, and it’s better to get that out of the way then work on professions IMO. That said, mages can make INSANE gold per hour if they really want to.
I totally agree with this.
Also, if you don’t have one already, I recommend making a bank alt that you send all your farming mats/items to sell on AH to. Then you can empty your bags at the nearest mailbox, and have your bank alt list items on the AH, so you’re earning gold while you level.
I also recommend an AH addon that will give you an idea of how much items are being listed for on the AH. I personally like AUX, but others prefer Auctioneer, or some others.
yeah dungeons are there to replace simply grinding mobs for xp to fill the gaps. OH and don’t forget the fire festival ribbon dance pole will give you 10% more xp for kills for up to an hour (have to wait till it goes up to 59 minutes) They are in every city and a lot of other places. Also you can go to dun morogh and that should get you to lvl 20. After that go to wetlands/menithal harbor.
