Does anyone have any tips for pvp with a mage? comps? strats? talents? I cant seem to get to 2k rating in SL like everyone else. I’ve played mage for years so I am not new.
Get triune ward.
bind every key to fireblast and pyro.
Hit combust and slam your face into the keyboard until your target is dead while screaming IM SO GOOD AT THIS GAME…
More seriously, its just reps man. You need to practice your go’s with the same people so you get used to it. You can be told what to do until you are sick of it, but its just practice.
Also knowing how to properly macro is huge, focus macro’s are necessary.
Proper addons are also necessary

Biggest advice I can give you right now is get more gear. You have some very low ilvl pieces equipped.
And play Rune of Power instead along with Pyrokinesis. Do people even still play Greater Pyro in SL? I don’t recall seeing a Mage using it in a while.
Go on youtube. Watch videos of Xaryu , or other popular mages. Watch what they do. Learn what works and doesn’t work. And then practice. Internet makes everyone a champion.
Make friends, and practice 2 of the best comps available to you and your friends
Get more gear along the way.

its the early season, theres gonna be alot of players with high xp just sitting on around 1800, people do carries as well alot too so maybe u face some gladiators carrying or just playing on an alt cause they probs jsut finished climbing on their main or something and just do some games on alts
XAry, Mitch and Ven plays with greater vs healer comp, so yes.
Play with Sub Rogue. You either win in the opener or they use everything to survive and you win 30s later.
- Get Triune Ward
- Find a setup comp, either rogue, spriest, or boomy.
- Get in discord and coordinate cross cc
- Run away while the enemy is on DR and you cannot do sets and cast fireballs to reduce the cooldown on combustion
- Do more setups and win the game
