Tips for leveling

So I’m level 34, just chugging along. I mix quests with dungeons here and there. I’m alright I guess but I want to get to Northrend as soon as I can because I really love that area and the WotLK expansion.

Any tips for a little faster progression? I have the heirloom shoulders, not enough shards yet for the other +exp heirloom slot yet.

In terms of actually levelling, there’s no real way to speed that up from what you’re doing currently.

Obviously, yes, if you had the second piece of hierloom gear it would go faster.

Once you hit the 50s, you can start mixing in some AV - at this level, you’re guaranteed to play with bots (on either side) so bear that in mind.

In terms of just hitting 70 as fast as possible, there IS a boost available for a price.

Twink out your gear specific to your style of grinding, speed leveling is about efficiency and planning, target dungeons for gear and keep yourself chanted, use buffs and pots even while questing. Intel may work better than sp just in the sense you will have better mana pool and less drink down time.

If you really want faster questing, buy the rested exp addon leveling guide. It’s actually insanely good.

Buy a boost, roll a DK.

Leveling from scratch was fun back in Vanilla & Vanilla Classic, but not after that - especially if you have already done it multiple times (both back in original run & now). My Shaman in pre-patch TBC Classic was the last character I leveled from scratch. Not going there again - it’s a awful slog at this point (IMO) playing in older areas than the current xpac zones.

Getting to level 80 as your end-goal, will make the process harder. Kinda a tip and kinda not, because you’ve said it isn’t fun for you anymore. I’ve never used an addon to level up, but plan ahead of time. Zones and quests are well known at this point, so do as many as you can in a specific area and do more than one quest at a time when possible. Dungeon quests give good exp and sometimes items as well. Don’t get every quest in a given area, because you’ll outlevel those with your heirlooms.

Not sure if socializing is your cup of tea or not, but questing with another person (a guildmate, a random player or a friend) makes it easier.

Tried Zygor? Just looking to see the difference if I go with an add-on/guide.

Look on the AH for consumables that you can use that are cheap.

If you can use the consumes asap you can buy out, if its a cheap bid and you cant use it yet or have a decent stock still so you dont need it asap, bid on it.

Dont go overboard on this though, just buy what you think you will need at reasonable prices.

As an example i bought over 300 health pots for my DK, when they were durt cheap and basically at vendor value.

I cant tell what server you’re on, but if you happen to be on Atiesh you got yourself a Feral tank to dungeon with when you hit 50! Im in the same boat, leveling…and wanting to speed it up lol.

I’m on Westfall.
