I do not ever trust any leaks, but if they added the Tinker class in a Shadowlands (Death) expansion over other classes like Necromancer / Dark Ranger that would be odd. It is really is Shadowlands, it would be a death type of class. Like Legion adding DH, you know, a fit to the theme of the expansion. Tinker class is so boring to me, but for those who like it I hope you do get it one day, but not in a Shadowlands expansions, assuming it is a real thing. Which I pray it is not.
I agree. Actually, any new class would suck.
This game does not need additional classes. It needs to fix the classes it already has.
2 irrelevant classes that would only do damage to existing class balance and fantasy for no purpose other than to entertain a few sub-1-every-5-month-casuals temporarily
Did not say they need to add any class, I said that those class would fit better like a DH fits in Legion. Tinker does not fit in Shadowlands theme.
Was that not obvious? Are you trolling or do you really not get the point of what I said? If they add no classes then no problem at all, but adding Tinker in a Death expansion is rather, dumb.
This. Almost every fantasy is covered by the existing classes.
Tinkering is just engineering?
Which class covers the technology fantasy shown by Mekkatorque, Blackfuse, and Gazlowe?
Hunter with engineering profession riding on a mechanical mount.
Hunters. We have mechanical pets, guns, explosives. Also the tinker class is not a mech pilot.

Hunter with engineering profession riding on it mechanical mount.
I can’t fight while inside the mount, so no, it doesn’t cover the fantasy.
Every class added after Classic has been central to the expansion’s theme. Unless we’re getting Cyberpunk: Azeroth, I highly doubt tinker is going to be the next class.

Tinkers are not Mech pilots. I’ve done the gnome heritage armor quest I teamed up with tinkers, none of them are piloting Mechs
Actually the WC3 Tinker was a mech pilot. Check out Robo Goblin. The class would be based on that, not your misadventures with random “Tinkers”.
Also Gazlowe is the Tinker hero from HotS, and he’s piloting a mech in WoW with Tinker abilities from HotS. Imagine that.

This is not Wc3.
By your logic Priests should be able to wear plate armor, because Anduin does.
You made this same post just earlier and i will tell you the same thing.
Dark rangers are too one note to be a class on their own. They only thing they need is to give black arrow back to hunter. And then you can go make an Elf hunter and be happy.
Then you can RP being a dark ranger and enjoy cleaning the soles of Sylvanas’ shoes.
Engineers are diverse enough to be a class on their own, and would be able to be more than 2 races.
Also, the forces of death and necromancy are clearly going to be instrumental Villans next Expac. Which is why blizzard doesn’t like giving them to the players. Necromancy is described in all the lore of being the most foul of magic. Those who practice it would be the enemy to everyone.
Alternitavely, if we’re going to be fighting the forces of Death and necromancy. Using machines and technology would be an incorruptible tool against them.

Exactly. The goblin tinker hero unit isn’t represented in WoW today, and never has. Alternatively. all the dark ranger abilities from WC3 Have been represent in WoW, in both hunter and warlock.
this doesn’t even mention how Engineers have clearly been built up throughout BFA, and then were LEAKED just recently.
Engineers got an entire Island, an entire dungeon, and the entire storyline between Gallywix and Mekkatorque during the War Campaign. Which ended off with an impressive Mech-Suited Mekkatorque raid boss battle. That doesn’t even mention the Island expedition teams. Funny, last time i checked there wasn’t a team of Dark Rangers, was there?

This is not Wc3.

No, by this logic. Priests should wear cloth robes, and cast abilities like “Heal” just like priest units in Warcraft 3.

I was more targeting his use of HoTS reference because Anduin wears plate like armor in that game.

Unless the machines can be possessed by ghosts.

Find me one example of this happening in the Warcraft Universe.
Even still it wouldn’t change the fact that Engineers would be more likely, and more diverse than Dark rangers.
Even if the leak is fake clearly Blizzard likes one of those classes more.
One of them has been built up this entire expansion.

By my logic all three of the other expansion classes (DKs, Monks, DHs) have come from WC3 with their concept and abilities completely intact.
So why wouldn’t the Tinker follow suit?
Hell i can whip up some tinkerer lore being relavant to shadowlands watch me…
Tinkerers will be based put of mechagon as a hub / haven of sorts.
King mechagon wanta to reverse the curse of flesh, horde and allaince arrange tinkerers to reside in mechagon and help discover some kind of means to incorporate his methods into dealing with the issues of the afterlife!
Im a little high though.

Gunk in the Trunk quest in Azshara. You actually need to call a priest to exorcise the machine.

WC3 with their concept and abilities completely intact.
I wouldn’t say completely intact.
