You keep saying this but I’m genuinely curious (and no one has explained yet that I’ve seen) … how would a necromancer be ‘iconic’ in this game and what would set it apart from what we already have with warlocks and death knights?

Seeing all the Windwalker and Mistweaver bugs that go ignored because Blizzard doesn’t take the class seriously, is probably a good reason not to introduce anything that could possibly be interpreted as a “silly” class.
Honestly Engineer should have always been a class, not a profession. I’d rather call the class “Engineer” than “Tinker” because it has a serious, militaristic vibe to it.

They’d probably make it another melee dps class. God forbid Blizz do anything other than melee dps for new classes added…

I am still waiting to hear exactly how necromancers will be set apart and iconic that will differentiate themselves from those 3 established classes already.

Necromancer (res and mind control enemy player you killed!!!)
S.E.A.L. (tinker/hunter, double damage from engineering explosives, move faster in water than on land, waterbreathing passive, 100 yard range on aimed shot, nightvision, blow holes in outer walls of outdoor structures)

I saw someone’s comment about mixing Necromancer and Tinker into one class, into something similar to Dr. Frankenstein. I personally wouldn’t mind it since it’ll be more original than them separate.

What a random hate thread. Tinker fits perfectly with WoW. The game pairs campy silliness with #owtheedge and right now we need something to balance out Demon Hunters.
Also, lol at thinking they don’t have creative options. Your lack of imagination doesn’t mean the class would be bad.
