Tinker is a lame name.

Mechanist would be far superior

Tinkers would be petless rangers, basically.

We give MM their pets back and anyone who wants to use a bow/gun/xbow without a pet goes Tinker.

Nah. We need mech suits, and Hunters can’t provide mech suits.

Nah, Tinkers because it keeps with wow theme.

Tinkers aren’t petless rangers, Tinkers are ironmen. Not archers.

Diablo III is right there waiting for you.

Petless ranger is the niche that has yet to be added so I think that whatever they add next should fill that gap. Robbing Marksman Hunters of their pet is not a good solution to this.

Is that copyrighted? Makes me think of FF.

Not really. Tinkers and Artificers are tech, so it wouldn’t be bows. It would be guns (not basic rifles, like machine guns), freeze rays, explosives, drones, turrets, etc.

So when we are gearing out tinkers what do we put in their hands?

Blizzard isn’t that creative, but if I was designing them they’d be a mix of Wildstar Gunslinger and Engineer, could be duel wielding pistols or have a wrench melee weapon. They could even get crazy and have a wrench-gun that changes based on race: Forsaken have alchemy injections to shoot plague and such, gnomes with cogs, dwarves and goblins with rockets and wicks hanging off, draenei and humans could use magic/runes like artificers.

A tech class in WoW has endless options. There’s 30 years of steampunk and science fantasy to draw from, dating back to WC2.

Yep.

If I can’t have opinions, than neither can you.

Too bad, that is happening anyways.

Ladiest and gentleman we have a necro right here
That’s it lore accurate Necro asking for Necromancer, Absolute cinema

Yeah, it would be rifles, dual guns, wrench guns, and a pocket dimension titan backpack thing where you pull out missiles and massive machine guns.

Bascially, Rocket Racoon in the guardians of the galaxy game where he has a pocket dimension and an robotic arm unfolding his massive gun and uses the arm to support him just blowing thigns up. His ult in the game his him going full out missiles, machine guns, tesla coils etc.

I mean, just look at the lore of Rocket’s gun he built, as a Tinker.

ROCKET’S BYE-BYE ENGINE

Rocket’s BBE is an ion cartridge-fed, heavy automatic weapon originally based on Kree infantry rifles but modified beyond recognition (and reason). Compressed gas instead of a mechanical system allows for an incredibly high rate of fire and minimizes jamming. However, it is jammed full of other guns, some of them far bigger than the core weapon. Rocket appears to have installed a pocket dimension generator directly into his weapon, allowing it to unfold and expand in impossible ways. It does not currently possess a safety trigger.

Now I want that but in wow with magi-tech to explain the guns into guns and pocket dimensions. Titan tech can be considered.

imagine complaining about a class that hasn’t even come out yet.

Cringe millennial speak

1h maces that look like wrenches. We let our machines do the dirty work.

Personally I think Necromancer should be a warlock skin for both:

  • Spell visuals
  • and pets

:person_shrugging: It’d fit the vibes of the class perfectly, not to mention fit with a handful of their transmog sets already implemented onto warlocks.

Plus it fits the lore

Warlocks CREATED the first generation of Death Knights.

They took the souls of other deceased warlocks and put them into human corpses, raising them from the dead and imbuing them with tremendous shadowy power.

Hence to why I made my thread ages back:

Let the the age of Necromancer-warlocks … BEGIN!
