Timewalking Queue Times

Anyone else having issues with Timewalking dungeon queues? Tried on 3 different characters now and I just sit there for 30+ minutes. It’ll start with saying my average time is 7ish minutes, then it just goes up and up. There’s no way the queues are just dead, right? Or maybe the tanks and healers are fed up with the poor scaling and decided its not worth.

On my mage the times are 4-6 min. On the other hand, the Halloween time has been 20+ minutes which I think is just a bug because sometimes if I log out and log back in, I’ll get it right away.

If you’re queueing as a DPS, that’s basically what it’s like most of the time. I didn’t have any trouble doing some timewalking as a tank earlier today. Queues were around 2 minutes maybe.

Hmm, strange. I had no issues leveling alts last week as dps. Queue times were typically around 6-11 minutes. Now I’m getting 30+ minutes no matter what, sometimes it never pops and I just give up. Headless horseman queues are no more than 5 minutes. In the present timeline as well, if that matters. Idk though, feels buggy but could be working as intended.

Are there less people queuing for them?

Ive heard there is increased difficulty for basically the same reward

It could be less people queueing for them. It could also be the weekend and a disproportionate increased DPS population queueing and increasing wait times. My healers are still having 30s-2min wait times the same as they did during the week.

What little difficulty changed (mostly extra mob health) is not the problem. It is the same as usual of people not paying attention to what classes and levels are in their group (what do you mean a level 11 Priest has no speed boost?), not understanding pathing (we can jump down here?) and mechanics (is it really that hard to interrupt a 4sec AoE? or why did we get 20+ adds while fighting the boss?), and tanks of every gear level thinking they can pull half the instance because a tank they were in a group with before did.

In other words, all player problems and no different from any other time but the blame falls easily on “Blizzard buffed the dungeons.”

Might have something to do with Blizz nerfing/slowing them down with the recent (unasked for) hotfix

Most likely less players doing them now - hence your long queue times

Not for me. My queues as DPS have consistently been between 5 and 15 minutes.

I haven’t witnessed any of this. The hotfixes haven’t changed anything noticeable and my queue times have been consistently 5-15 as DPS.

1 min top as heler

I’m having problems with Headless Horseman queue times. 20 minutes so far and average wait time is 4 minutes. I think something’s bugged.

With so many different things happening on a Sunday, queue times are going to be out of control. We still have:

  • Reg raids
  • Heroic raids
  • Mythic raids
  • Heroic dungeons
  • M+ dungeons
  • TW Dungeons
  • Darkmoon Faire
  • Headless Horseman runs
  • 5 days left to grind Tricky Treats / mounts / pets / mogs

Everyone is up to something different tonight and the regular pool to pull from is very shallow.

Been pretty ok for me, 5-8m queues Horde side as DPS.

Hint, level tunes that can tank to add 80,s to your list.
Use tokens buy stuff.
Do the main on your main then alt hop

the time walking dungeons need to reward better gear, its just a slap in the face when you get stomped wearing 619s and the bosses drop blue 561 loots

Time walking in general has been designed terribly. If I clear it with a twink (level 11 twink can 1 shot entire dungeons with no healer) it gives everyone else in the party a debuff that makes them not gain XP (fun detected, thanks blizzard). So there’s no reason to XP farm from it OR TW badge farm unless you make an allied race monk at level 10 to run a single dungeon for the quest that gives 200 badges, then transfer the badges to your main and delete that character, rinse and repeat. You can almost solo the dungeons on a brand new character with heirlooms and 1-2 pieces of gear from the TW vendors. So basically if you want to level other people or get badges to buy everything from the 20th anniversary vendors, you need to make 1,000 alts lol. What an awful design.

The problem is that if you want to buy everything from the vendors for 20th anniversary event, it would be like 30,000+ timewalking badges and we only get 70 ish per run lol that’s roughly over 400 runs give or take. Who in their right mind is running TW over 400 times or making over 100 alts (if you’re using the badge quest method) to get all the stuff from the event. TW needs to reward more badges.

I leveled a monk from 15-72 doing nothing but TW dungeons as a tank. Longest queue wait was about 30 seconds. It got harder the higher level I got, and now at 72 I can’t do them anymore. My tank just crumples like toilet paper.

The scaling is nonsense.

I get in super fast when a 4th DPS queues as heals…

leveled 2 alts on timewalking all weekend and started another this morning. All DPS, 3-6 minute queue times consistently.
