Timewalking dungeons XP nerfed = useless now

This is reminding me how they had so many currencies and drip feeding in Shadowlands. The only difference now is the insane amount of bugs and the couple of catastrophic ones I know of are guild and war banks destroying boat loads of items (and they have no plan to restore them).

Player time is not valued and the whole Warband facade is wearing thin already. The nerf to TW badges is just stupid. I saw it posted above but the new meme is definitely snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I know it was fun detected, fun nerfed… but really… I think it’s time to really reassess what used to be fun and if it’s fun any longer. If you’re a M+ player maybe you’re happy but the diablocation of WoW isn’t my cup of tea.

I obviously wanted to level alts with timewalking again - to 80.

125 level 70s here. I, too, was hoping to use TW. I just had all the gimmicks in modern dungeons from Legion on. Some WoD too (like the train).

HOWEVER, an ENTIRE dungeon gave me 1 tiny bubble of XP.

That’s… really disappointing. Honestly, I think so many things were in a good state in DF that I’m actually kinda shocked that Blizzard has made so many of them worse. My preferred spec (BM Hunter) kinda sucks. I don’t enjoy the feel of doing anything. The whole Early Access shenanigans. Overtuning in TW.

I said a few weeks ago the only thing holding me to Season 1 was TW to level my alts and the anniversary event. Otherwise I’m “done”. Well, TW has fallen away. That pretty much leaves the anniversary event.

Honestly, if I knew what TWW was like back in DF I wouldn’t have bought TWW at all. I’d simply do completionism in legacy content or not play at all. That’s how bad things are (for me).

Why after all these years make these changes?

With so many things, Blizzard should be asking “who is this for?” and “who does this help?”

With the Diablo 4 event (ie Tubulent Timeways) a couple of years ago, TW was in such a good state. From 60-70 it was about 1 dungeon per level and 2 per level for the last 2-3 levels. TW was tuned well, it was chill.

I was excited about that the XP buff for 5 level 80s in TWW but it seems like a lie. Yes, you get it, but the XP tables seem to have been inflated to more than that. It would be more accurate to say “your first 5 toons have their XP penalized”.

Despite needing ~400k per level in the latter part of 70-80 and quests are unchanged at ~10-11k XP each (before bonus).

I skipped the BC one because I hate that one,

I tend to like TBC because the dungeons are the most straightforward. As for tuning, you can get 2 shot in Pit of Saron by trash so that’s still an issue. The later expansion, the more I hate the dungeons (eg Cata → End Time, MoP → Shado-Pan Monastery, WoD → Grimrail Depot, Legion → Court of Stars).

The 200 badge nerf to the weekly for alts was and is a ridiculous change.

Sans this new Warband bonus, It’s been more like 3 average, unless you’ve got rested EXP.

I onccur with these numbers, based on my own experience.

Pretty much. I get them to max level in dungeons (I only do campaign for new expansions once then never quest again lol). I been gearing alts by doing 2x bountiful tier 8’s a week for loot chances and a single vault per toon.

Remember when tw’s had the so called bug back in Shadowfail? Where you could get a level sometimes two levels per tw dungeon run? Good times for sure lol.

TW experience for leveling in dungeons was definitely nerfed! I don’t even get 1 bar of rested exp in one dungeon run and finishing the dungeon only gives around 90k exp. On top TW badge rewards were also nerfed. Crazy to promote 20th annivasry but then nerf exp and badges that come form hit. It is faster to level through normal dungeon finder then TW good job once again blizzard… Also increase timeweaver mount drop or allow us to buy if for like 25k badges. Wow is a game! why cant we have fun get our things and play with friends? Why put up road blocks?

I noticed from level 71 and up you don’t get good xp from mobs and bosses anymore and the xp you get for finishing the dungeon is less than regular dungeons and I also had 64 70s I’m up to 13 80s now

Oh look mah, another complaining forum post. Either my feed loves the drama or there are way too many crybabies in wow. Sheesh. Never ending crying. Just play the game as if it were a game and trust the devs, etc (even if you don’t like to).

I experienced this problem yesterday as well. I ran three Timewalking dungeons and didn’t go up a level on my hunter alt. I guess I’ll kill rares and do world quests to level instead.

2. These changes are not even DOCUMENTED. They try to be sneaky about stuff cause they KNOW we don’t like it
