TW dungeons are now less xp than N dungeons, and the TW Badges have been chopped to less than half after 1st toon. They will further be nurfed by the scaling change. So they are slower in every way. What is actual your issue.
They’re moving the goal posts with the new system. They can’t make it feel like they’ve given us a benefit (like war bands) without punishing us and making us stay logged in longer for ANY activity.
I totally noticed the Wrath dungeons being a chore - I didn’t get but maybe half a level of 25% + rested xp from one of them. Not worth it at all. So I’m going back to Delves.
I leveled my Resto Druid from 58 to 70 in 6 dungeons last night. I only have 3 max level characters so that is 15% exp boost on top of full rested exp, and in some cases I got 2 - 3 levels per Dungeon
This topic interested me and I made my own calculation. I was actually surprised
XP gained on 76 lvl character (warband 20% bonus + WHEE! 10% bonus):
Timewalking WOTLK (Random Dungeon) 137 792 XP
TWW City of Threads (Random Dungeon) 150 923 XP
Before this I thought that Timewalking is MUCH faster.
I leveled a new alt into the 60s yesterday in TW runs, I didnt pay attention to the XP…figured it was higher than regular runs as usual.
But it doesnt surprise me if they did nerf the XP given they trashed the badges.
Ion clearly is bored or something and decided to fill his days doing crap to make us irritated.
People joke about how politicians will create a big scandal about something to get your attention HERE…while theyre doing something devious elsewhere they dont want you to notice.
Sometimes I think Ion and crew might be ex politicians or something lol.
That or they do this stuff to cause the outrage…so when they give stuff back everyone can be all googly eyed and fawning over them because “see, theyre listening”, lmao
I think that capping thing per week is a necessity.
We have players who can play 20 hours a day if they want.
Theyd end up way ahead of the game if allowed to progress unhindered.
It only matters obviously because this is an MMO and we’re all trying to play it at various paces.
Sometimes they do take the whole thing overboard though. lol.
I haven’t been running Timewalking dungeons since I learned I can knock out the weekly quest and the Timewalking raid quest at the same time. Too bad Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, and Legion don’t have Timewalking raids yet…
I’d noticed this “problem” (for some people it might not be) too, only I wasn’t comparing to Dragonflight, because I didn’t play that much. Timewalking this week is slower than the tBC Timewalking event. I know they’re also changing the basics of how timewalking works… I think they’re trying to make it more “end-game”… or something, so people will want to do it on their mains, but to me it honestly feels like they’re sapping the fun out of it. I’m probably not the only person with alt-itus that enjoys advancing characters. the “bing” and choosing where to allocate new talent points is fun. Getting a new piece of gear, especially gear I already have transmogs for, doesn’t have that same feel. To me, the faster leveling is literally why timewalking was fun and I was glad to stick to it and let “end-gamers” do their own thing that they have fun with too. Sometimes it seems like companies don’t get that their audience isn’t just one entity and it’s good to cater to multiple crowds.
I need to log in and check myself. Yeah, that was pretty bad. Didn’t even notice the 200 badges, did they make that change with this tw or was it active in the previous one as well? Awful, what a useless change. I can’t comment on the xp since it did look the same as before so was probably bad then too. I only did a few runs on 70 characters.
