Timewalking in DF dropped Adventurer 1/8 gear. That’s the equivalent of 567 today, not 554. It was also upgradable in DF. It’s literally the worst timewalking has ever been at the level cap.

Well then that’s bad on the devs’ part… Normal gear should be upgradeable to qualify you for Heroics and Timewalking should be on par with Adventurer 1/8 at least.

My money is on “fun detected.” Blizzard seems to want people to cancel subscriptions.
Maybe WoW 2 incoming so they’re trying to kill this one?

I came to the forums to complain about this as well. I just healed a dungeon on my druid, and I got 554 gloves. Besides getting the weekly chest, I’m hard pressed to think of a reason to run these dungeons on a level 80.
It’s way undertuned. The gear level seems about right. Make it much harder, and I would agree with you.
No. About right would be 567 Adventurer 1/8.
ACCEPTABLE (but still not right) would be 558 Explorer 1/8.
This isn’t even acceptable, let alone “about right.”
That makes it even more frustrating.
I’d even be cool with the low gear level if it was more of a side-content optional content. But making it part of the weekly quest means many people will do it only because of the weekly quest.
554 is so low it needs to be understood.
There are quests rewards for 554 gear prior to reaching level 80. This gear is the equivalent of levelling up gear - yet it’s attached to a weekly chest.

The quest for 5 drops 597 for me. Think that’s based on your current iLvl.
But in dungeon drops… time walking has been an alt leveling thing for quite a while.
Isn’t worth doing the dungeons for either. Do the TW raid where the gear isn’t nerfed like the dungeon gear is. It’s faster, too.
They’re easier than normal mode dungeons, which give 554 and TW has never been upgradable. You’ll have to find another source of easy gear.
This is untrue. During Dragonflight, the gear from TW dungeons was Adventurer 1/8 gear and could be upgraded.

So are heroic dungeons (easier than normal dungeons).
And TW was upgradable in DF.
Why are you defending this change? Do you want WoW to be worse?

I don’t think I’m see that one. Heroic is harder than Normal.
And it’s an objective opinion that I think the loot for TW is commiserate with its difficulty. Sometimes changes are made because things were too easy. That’s life.
On the bright side, TW black temple is dropping 1/8 champion 597. Don’t do TW unless you’re leveling.

gear should be 567 at least world quest level to get you into heroics
well I got a 613 ring from the quest so I think that is just fine. I have never gotten gear I could use from timewalking.
The quest that doesn’t require timewalking dungeons?
Didn’t last expansion do this too?
Fortunately gearing up in T Dubs Squared is easy enough. Got my character into heroic dungeon ilevel within a day after level capping.
