Timers Are Bad, M'Kay?

literally no tank is using a trivial LFG dungeon as practice for high keys.

that you think they are is absurd.

Oh, for what other reason are they kiting the trash? That is 100% a M+ strategy. If I wanted to do M+, I’d do M+, but this is happening in random normal dungeons.

This is really my issue with Mythic+. Yes, I know the speed run mentality has always been there, but Mythic+ encouraged and rewarded it, which has just made it even more prevalent.

I was doing a TBC TW dungeon earlier and less than 5 seconds into the instance load in, this one hunter starts berating the tank for not pulling fast enough. He then decides to pull a room full of mobs, immediately dies, respawns, does it again.

Never saw the VTK window pop up so fast. Poof he was gone

Problem is, people are treating every dungeon as if they were timed. “Go go go!” used to be annoying enough, but now it’s the norm.

Yeah I hear you, OP. You can’t change anything in this game without people freaking out. But they killed the old style of dungeons whether it’s a Key or not and people “love it.”

You can’t change anything in this game, unless I don’t care about it, and then it’s fine.

starting players have to go through BFA dungeons
many try to do M+ strats on a stupid leveling dungeon
thing is it often causes additional pulls.

Timers really take a lot of the adventure out of the dungeons for me.

More prevalent than groups telling everybody to hurry up through Wrath heroics because “bads are on the way of mah badges”? Nah.

Ive always been confused at this complaint. Do people want to talk lore during the run or RP walk the dungeon? Sit and drink after each pack? What speed is too fast?

Im usually in disc chatting up with guildies while running so we just speak as we go.

Even puggin i just follow the tank and do rotation

That’s a total strawman. You know that’s not what I meant.,

Im not trying to fight im legit asking. Grps im in go one pack to another or maybe do a big pull.

Ive never felt oh no this is too fast.

Last dungeon I zoned into we had killed two bosses before I could stop and summon a proper demon. On the plus side, the tank didn’t complain about the voidwalker. It just feels like a scrolling arcade game when everything is a speed run.

This just in, kiting mobs in a dungeon did not exist before m+ dungeons. you heard it here. kiting did not exist before this.

Imagine running Tomb of Horrors or really any other DND campaign with a WoW M+ group.

Every single room would be a TPK as they charge up and smack everything they see, attempt group AOE pulls, and waste every spell slot on the first pull
then they all leave because everyone but them is an idiot who should uninstall.

I mean i guess, idk ive never felt rushed as a slow butt pally even if i have to stop and do something. I feel this example has some exaggeration. Unless its like nw or pf end two bosses any other dungeon has enough travel time to summon a pet. Today in a 16 dos i died on trash before the mechagon boss(three slimes after the lube bots) and when i released i reZzed back at the entrance to the NF wing ( it was a weird route). I had enough to mount and huff it all the way back in time for the boss

You just stop and do your thing then catch up to the next pull. I doubt anyone would even notice. Alternatively can summon the right pet before porting into the dungeon

Both of you can tank. Feel free to control the pace.

I’ve said it a bunch, but, ‘GoGoGo’ predates M+, it even predates the dungeon finder.

you can! find some like-minded people (there are several of them in this very thread) and run the dungeons as slowly as you care to :cowboy_hat_face:

I love M+ in its current state. They just need to add scaling hard modes for people who don’t.
