Hey, Earlier today I timed a +21 Halls of Valor and the score is showing in game but it hasnt been updated in raider io. I timed a +22 COS after that and that one was updated in game and raider IO.
It seems there was a bug, please help
If it is showing in-game, but not raider.io, then that is something you would need to take up with raider.io.
It seems to be a problem on the armory API on Blizzard´s end
Blizzard has no control over what an add-on is displaying. If the addon is not displaying information properly, then the add-on needs to adjust how it’s pulling the info.
The problem originates in the API armory (Blizz), not the addon. The addon is not showing the information cause the armoury doesnt have it.
It doesn’t matter. Blizzard does not adjust anything to make an add-on work. If an add-on is not working, then the add-on author needs to change their add-on for how the information is given to it, wrong or not.
You should certainly add the information to the Website Bug Report Forum. But how an add-on works and displays information is up to the add-on author.
The problem is not the addon. The armory is where blizz records the runs and raid bosses kills and that armory is having an issue right now with raid kills and mythic plus runs. We can take the addon out of the debate and there ll still be a problem
As said above:
But Blizzard does not make changes/fix things simply because an addon may not be working right. So if/when you post in the Website Bug Forum, I agree to leave the addon out of it. Making sure an addon works properly is not Blizzard’s concern.
100% this. My score in-game is 65pts ahead of what is on the armory right now. From reading the Raider io Discord, I believe that they have some info and have forwarded to Blizz. Just have to wait to see how long it takes to fix/update
The armory and the API is considered to be in constant beta, it isn’t something that they are going to put a ton of resources in. If the game is showing the correct information that is what Blizzard is going to be worried about. The armory is notorious for updating on it’s own time and for being inconsistent. It was simply meant as a QoL thing, it was never meant to be a have to have thing.
But yes the add-on author would need to go to Blizzard over it and they will look into it. I just wouldn’t get my hopes up that it will be fixed quickly. It could be, but it also could take forever.
I think is some problem with Halls of valor. I timed a 23 like 2 days ago and is not showing it in raiderio, just in game.
It’s not anything with the instances themselves, it is the API and armory. Please report that you’re having this bug affect you by posting in the proper bug report forums so that the staff can get the best idea possible of how widespread the issue is. The more data they have, the better pool they’ve got to try and figure out what’s happening and get it fixed.
You’re not understanding. The addon is working correctly. It pulls data from the armory. The data on the armory is incorrect because it’s not updating. He wants the armory to update correctly so it will have the correct data for the addon to display.
Which would need to be posted in the Website Bug Forum, this is an issue with the armory it has nothing to do with in game. As I stated earlier the API and the Armory are considered to be in constant beta and are pretty low priority. However Blizzard does have a forum to report bugs that can occur with it.
The attitude of some in this thread is astoundingly clueless. This forum is overloaded with topics related to the WoW Armory not being updated correctly this week, and yet you are on some imaginary horse that an external addon is broken.
Before you chime in with your “support”, please become informed. You’ve done nothing but provide misinformation on this topic.
The regular CS folks are quite aware it’s not - the armory will bork out like this every now and again, but it isn’t always this bad when it’s so widespread. The last time it happened it really was only affecting Classic/TBC/WotLKC characters on a larger scale.
The armory and the API that is pulled from it that the third-party websites use is broken. But it is not a game-breaking issue in and of itself. The game still runs fine, you can log in and play your character.
The true issue here is the player-created dependency on third-party sites such as raider.io is now leaving them in a tough spot. This is not Blizzard’s problem that these sites aren’t able to update from their malfunctioning site. They could decide to break the API tomorrow and truly render all of those vetting sites useless.
Report the issue to the forums linked above. It is a currently known issue that they are working on, but aside from trying to nudge it into updating by way of logging out and back in, or changing one’s password, there is not a work-around or “fix”. It’s a matter of it will be fixed when the folks in that department get it fixed.
You, again, are missing the point and licking the boot that is kicking you. It is WoW’s OWN WEBSITE that is not updating. Yes, third-party apps are affected by this. But their own armory page is broken! And no, I can’t “play the game” still, because there is a massive difference in my IO and gear score now and I can’t get accepted to groups. Stop accepting mediocrity from a company you PAY A SUBSCRIPTION TO.
Broken AC is not a “game-breaking issue” in and of itself. A car with broken AC may still run fine, but it doesn’t mean I’m going to be happy if that’s the answer if I ask the dealer to fix it under warranty.
How is Blizzard’s malfunctioning site not Blizzard’s problem? Are you being serious right now?
It’s been reported multiple times by multiple people for basically a full maintenance cycle at this point.

Well the folks in that department should be communicating their awareness of the issue and getting it fixed on a faster time table than “when they get to it”. For such a simple thing as scanning the characters in the game and displaying the data, the fact that they broke it during maintenance and haven’t repaired it in a week is just awful.
