Time to remove huge benefits on horde side in epic battletgrounds

That’s when you shd take demo’s , put them under the protection of the tower guns and just rain fire on the Glavies and players around it .

You can get the flower buff as alliance …

Used to, I don’t think you can now.

That’s just silly. I mean, that’s a waste of your siege engine. Should really be using those demos, the airship, or hell, your catapults to neutralize those turrets. There is something better suited to dealing with soft targets, nothing is as good at ripping up the gates as the siege engine.

What benefits?

The thing with epic BGs is that they’re different for each side in terms of base layouts and NPCs. Each NPC is stronger than the other in someway. Ashran is just a flat out coordination issue more than it is a favoritism issue as much as I hate to say it. Absolutely no reason allies shouldn’t go for the relic or be able to get the ogre king.

The knockback done by the Horde mage is avoidable from my experience as well, unless it’s bugging out and I’m simply not aware of it?

EDIT: I’d like to add that we call current Ashran, “Trashran” as it is a more appropriate and fitting name as opposed to what it once was.

it doesn’t matter how much damage you do to the gate as long as the other teams gate goes down first.

Sure, but your team should be able to spare someone to take out those turrets.

turrets dont stay dead, you need to keep several dps there taking them out constantly, you can just park everything by the glaives and take no damage from the cannons and use the siege cannon to defend the glaives.

you can also take the siege to hangar to defend the hangar flag, it can double up and cover the mid flag too.

It’s always been referred to as Trashcan.

It’s not only a coordination issue. There is no standard strat for Alliance players.

The strat for Horde players is simple: go to flowers (for a buff that is basically 3.5 extra trinkets based on primary stat alone), respond to what Alliance are doing, ogre, mage, end game.

I have been in many good games recently where the Alliance has managed to outplay Horde characters and still lost (by ~15-20 reinforcements), which I’m almost certain wouldn’t have been the case were it not for the flowers.

I don’t mind losing games like that, because they’re fun, but games are better for everyone if matches are at least somewhat even.

Why can’t we go for the flower buff? Because it is on their side.
How about backdoor mage? It has knock back.

What’s is the best move for us? Someone found haste buff, could we rush it?

Alliance do have a really good item they can pick up on their way to mage/woods. Its called Star Root Tuber. It heals for a small amount when used but more importantly it reduces all damage taken by 40% for 10secs. It might be hard for pugs to be coordinated enough to grab them but i think its a huge buff that the alliance could use.

Honestly there are many things the alliance could be doing instead of yoloing into a horde zerg, there are buffs all over the zone and rares that can drop some amazing items.

Never be so sure. I win them solo. Carry those 40 losers.

Nice 90% winning rate on the Ashran map. How could that map be so unbalanced?

Well part of that 90% win rate is cause I use a certain healer buff to never go oom and I always do top healing.

I think the alliance could win if they start playing a new strat. You don’t have to yolo in at the start to win, you can instead focus on getting buffs and defending your mage if the horde pushes up.

I don’t think we have any choice.

Mainly because of the poor balance design of the map. Can you find one strategy? As all benefits are on the horde side.

I’ve had some losses where the alliance turtle in their mage tower. The horde try to push up and get wiped. If the horde push into the base to kill trem, you leave the tower and wipe the horde with the help of the NPCs (the NPCs in the base CHUNK).

OK  seems legit.

It has definitely worked in the past. The problem is most pugs don’t want to listen to instructions and aren’t patient enough to sit in the tower.

Well I can tell you a strategy which does not work. Rushing the horde mage . Whether you kill him or not , you are going to lose the BG because of where your GY location is . Nowadays Horde don’t even bother to defend the mage , they go from woods to Ogre and trap the Alliance between the Horde base and the middle flag .
