It’s far too difficult and time consuming. Not to mention it is absolutely ridiculous that the main questline is being gated behind garbage content. I thought it was optional and only for cosmetics? What a surprise that its being forced on those of us who have 0 interest in this supposedly optional part of the game.

I guess its good to know that it will be 128 floors in 2 weeks and must be completed to progress story further at that point.

I just wished they, you know, tried tuning things. There’s a WoWhead post claiming its like 13+ hours to clear. Another example in the horror that is Boreghast

I agree that the main story has already had too much Torghast getting in the way.
This requirement is ridiculous. We’ve seen more than enough of Torghast, Blizz. You’ve forced people to do all they want to do, now let them choose.

To be fair, it’s basically Challenge Mode. And I have a feeling it’s meant to be for higher ilevels when we eventually get there.
As far as the main storyline goes… they should’ve put it in a scenario style. But hopefully they’ll leave it alone so we can just run the first 6 floors and reset, rinse, repeat. I mean… it is main storyline. Kinda seems insane to gate it behind a Challenge Mode.

Well with 1500 torghast boss kills being a flight unlock requirement its time to just get playing.

Just did Layer 2 of TC, stuff does insane damage around floors 16+, it’s doable but wow is it spooky getting crushed for 30k by mobs
That’s wrong, people already have the mount from what someone else said.
Jeez, I saw more than enough just dealing with Warden Skoldus on layer 8, having to kite him for days.
I’ll definitely be dragging my tank along for that then.

How about no. You guys already got the non-challenge mode portions of Torghast nerfed into irrelevance, how about you just leave it alone.
Do your one quest, get out, forget about it and then come back next expansion to complain they should bring it back so you can get the cosmetics you missed.

There needs to be another way to earn a mount in The Maw. Better yet you shouldn’t even have to earn a mount. Just another system to take something away and make you do annoying content to get it back.

I’m glad that it’s day one of a challenge mode being released, one that unlocks nothing but cosmetics, and it’s already “Going to be nerfed” as decreed by the op.
Or at least make an instance version for the story quest tbh the fact that story is locked behind content that was pushed as optional is ridiculous

This is what it should of been to begin with, maybe the initial 6 floors finding the clues on 2,4 and 6.
