Why is there a Protection Warrior at 2,500 rating and how do I accomplish this nonsense? Was that our Protection Warrior god from Legion? Meph?

Uhh… there’s probably not much to it honestly. Shockwave is a 40 second cooldown that will be up in time to ruin any melee cleave’s ability to do a go. Melee cleaves are very prominent in arenas right now. Ignore Pain is also amazing right now, you will get plenty of rage from cleave damage to keep it up at all times and it has no cooldown as protection. You could also run the bolster talent to have your allies take 40% less physical damage.
Stop every melee cleave from doing damage, take games to dampening, win said games. Sounds boring.

All of the most recent games are protection. Which is why I’m questioniong things.

I don’t see how thats possible honestly? Prot Warriors have ridiculously poor spell mitigation, and lack any healing to sustain themselves. They have a great kit but also take +50% damage.
So when I am playing Randoms as Prot, not Glads just randoms any DPS can literally burst me to 30% hp in 1 - 2 hits.

This is why I made this thread. I’m confused by it and how Termana got that high going PROT.
Even checking arena mate all of their recent games are Protection.
If its so, then his team is handicapped by him being there and carrying him.

Wait can you still change specialization during preparation or was that taken away? I assumed he was just changing for caster teams.
I have no bloody idea. I didn’t think spec swap in arena was possible. Then again we got a hurp durp mage bug so I guess anything is on the table right now.
In theory it sounds amazing, with my Legendary giving me 3 heroic leaps using Warpath, Storm bolt, Shockwave, gives me 5 stuns and an Intimidating shout, an intervene, spell reflect, and a Last Stand, Rally Cry.
However unless the opposing team are all Melee and physical damage dealers that just doesn’t play out.
I will take monster damage from spells and a weak ignore pain is a mere fraction of an absorb, the healer would literally have to pocket the Prot.
Who knows.
