I think we can all admit that the 40 min+ Q’s has been frustrating
We’ve already ruined the “community” feel and economies by allowing paid realm transfers
We’d might as well go the rest of the way and allow faction transfers. There are a large number of horde that are fed up with waiting so long for Q’s that they’d rather unsub than spend the rest of their gametime in 40 min Q’s and 8 minute premade matches.
More ally + less horde = Faster Q times for everyone as a whole
I considered it and have decided against it.
You want to play Alliance? Create a character and level it up.
The problem here is only some people dislike this, and all people can do something about it. If your preference is no or lower queue times, simply play your Alliance character(s). Many people, especially among those who are ranking, actually enjoy having some time between queues to do some other things.
There’s no need to solve a “problem” that isn’t a problem, especially when there are very reasonable workarounds for anyone who cares at all.
same could be said about server transfers, You want to play on another server? Create a character on it and level it up… That’s a really dumb answer , which is why they allow server transfers.
Perhaps they should add that to the horde character creation screen
“May suffer 40 min Q times for battlegrounds”
That way people who don’t have 400+ hours to level and gear another character can avoid being punished for choosing the wrong faction
Truth be told, I think server transfers are (to use your words) “really dumb.” I wish they didn’t exist, because they bring nothing of value to the game, but only diminish character identity and realm community.
I agree with you on the impact that server transfers have. However, the snowball has been created and they’d might as well follow through with a transfer category that would actually improve gameplay for other players.

Server transfers/Faction transfers should exist… For the exact reason the orc said… Why should we be punished for picking the wrong faction… I don’t even play my horde anymore because I don’t have time to wait 30-40 min for a queue to pop. I have made an alliance character already but , that means I wasted 10’s of hours of my time only to not even play anymore . I can’t predict the horde would outnumber alliance like this.

“Improve gameplay for others” is sort of subjective here. Some people don’t like the queues, but so what? That’s easy enough to solve by hopping on your Alliance character.
If it was something you cared about, it would have been trivial to solve way before BGs even came out. There was no lack of information that told us we would have these queues (though, most thought they would be longer).
Faction transfers is a win-win for blizzard, it fixes the balance problem with alliance-horde ratio, and they get money from people paying for the transfer
And they also get players who have or will unsub remain on the payroll

Shaman turn into paladin, and paladin turn into shaman, if you don’t like it then don’t do it . I’d easily turn into a paladin just to get out of this hell

Of course you would. No paladin would want to be a shaman though. So, I suppose you’d have more, and more Paladins.
In any case, the solution is a.) To a problem that doesn’t exist, b.) Not something that has ever existed in Vanilla/Classic, c.) Likely something that would cause a lot of outrage.
Reroll or quit the balance will come. Only options. Only options given to alliance, only options given to you. You guys enjoyed being the overwhelming faction in P2. This is your payment for rolling the easy mode faction.
NAWWWWWW. Just roll an aliiance toon. Classic has only been out a couple months. BWL is not even out. Still plenty of time to roll a diff faction. I already started a horde char. No need to faction xfer.
