The posts were very final about the removal of the brutosaur mount. It is not coming back.
The only conceivable reason for removing a mount like that would be to push players to stay on the game for much longer periods of time to farm for it, hopefully keeping them subscribed and increasing playtime metrics. If there is such a thing.

What annoys me is when Blizz doesn’t tell us. “Yo bros, MoP legendary quest line is being removed when it’s done the xpac is over, better do it” 
I don’t want to find out it’s being removed a few months prior to it happening.
Glad mounts, I know those are being removed (still don’t get them 
) they don’t have to announce that, it’s how it has been for years. Same with Mythic mounts drop rate going to 1%, no need for an announcement we all know. But Bruto? That one achievement I wasn’t going to do anyways Champion of Azeroth? Mad World, those would all be nice to know about early on.
I think it was mostly intended as a vanity mount, keeping it around lessens the flex-value of being rich at one point. They SHOULD bring out a new AH mount though, should be easy enough to think of something ethereal related.

They gave you months ahead of time that they were removing it just like they did with Brutosaur
They even said it about how the cloak is meant to be like “I was there”
It was pretty damn shady how they announced Longboi was leaving. Wowhead datamined the AH npc was gone and at first they thought Blizzard was just taking that out. Then that infamous thread was made on the GD where a doomsayer said the mount was being removed. A blue replied and said “yeah… he’s right.”
They could have told us at the beginning of the xpac.

Was caring for a family member, and didn’t get to play enough. I did stay subscribed the entire time.
Does Blizz actual have a statement anywhere that says this is how they felt?
I just assumed they made it time exclusive so it would encourage people to panic buy WoW tokens so they could grab the mount before it went away.
Doesn’t seem like there is any legitimate reason why it would be removed.

Maybe instead of bringing longboi back, they could add NEW mount. One with Auction house AND Black Market Auction House vendors. It would have to be a hippo mount, of course. Madame Goya isn’t going to let her representative ride just ANY old beast.
Or… even better…

I was against its removal in the first place. Dinosaurs are to be enjoyed by all! I got it almost immediately at launch since I had been saving since it was first datamined. I cared about it being another cool troll dino more than the AH. However, I think it should be available for all still.

A limited-time offer is any kind of discount, deal, special gift, or reward a buyer can get if they make a purchase from you during a certain time period.
With longboi it sounds like they had a realization about the impact of (eventually) everyone having a mobile AH. But the cloak should have been announced on launch.

Honestly I don’t know how I played the game without a longboi after having it for so long. Missing something before raid? Just mount up ant the entrance. We literally buy vantus runes before Sire in SLG room.

What really is the impact, except having more time to play and spending less time having to switch to your AH alt? I could actually level my AH alt up and play it normally and not have to leave him parked at the AH.
They should let us buy access to the Engi auction houses in cities for 10k each, account-wide.
