Time to Ban the AFK exploiters

Thousands are using AFK clickbots, macros, scripts, to stay online and circumvent the queue, resulting in massive queues that don’t die down because players aren’t logging off. People are turning them on as they go to sleep, go to work, or do whatever else that takes them away from the game for a significant amount of time and they use them so that they don’t have to sit in a multithousand person queue that the rest of us are subjected to because of their selfishness.

Expanding the number of online players was nice, thank you, but I think that getting rid of these exploiters will seriously improve the gameplay experience for the rest of us paying customers who don’t use these cheats.

Thousands huh? Well before anyone gives a shirt, prove evidence

Got any videos uploaded showing these “thousands” of people macroing while sleeping?

Is this some parody of real life where we get the people at the bottom to fight each other instead of realizing the problem is at the top?

lol @ people that don’t think thousands are doing this.

Just go to the inn in the barrens. On Herod there’s like a 100 people AFK which all jump once a minute.

For so many people supposedly doing it I would think there would be a rash of youtube videos showing it or forum links to screenshots. Do I think there are some doing it? Sure. Thousands? Maybe but thousands on a singular server causing the queue problem? Nah.

You do understand that the queue is driven by realm capacity, don’t you? So when thousands of those spots are taken up by people who aren’t actually playing the game, and there are thousands upon thousands of people waiting to play…that are in a line…called a queue…you do realize that the afk exploiters are directly preventing other paying customers from accessing the service they shelled out their hard earned dollars for?

Of course I do. I understand how it works for god sakes. I am asking for someone to show me a video or screen grab of AFK botters to stay active on the server is all. I dont need a friggin tutorial on server load.

I have seen a few people running into walls or just turning. People did it in WoD when that BEAUTIFUL expansion went live, they put a fix in so that wouldn’t be an issue.

So either people just haven’t hit the “timer” to kick them or you have no proof, lol.

I’ve gone afk running into walls numerous times–no botting here. Guild members are staying logged in and working from home to avoid the queues. Others are playing for long hours just cause the addiction is back! We just gotta deal :stuck_out_tongue:

So I can’t use tape to make my character turn in place? How rude

Then I stand corrected. They should do something about it.

they are dodging the timer and exploiting key routines via macros to work around the timer.

What you are asking is impossible to detect. Have a good day.

edit: Though, the random disconnects are what Blizz is doing to help with this. It disconnects everyone out of the game and the players that arnt bots will join back quick because of the grace period.

Isn’t the modern WoW client supposed to detect these basic “hacks” easily?

like people literally post on reddit forums and discords how to bypass it and openly admitting to useing macros and auto clickers to stay in game, last night in stormwind (faerlina) there was 4 people literally afk running in place and jumping next to the flightmaster… they were there for the 20mins i was in SW using the AH
