Time to add a 10 man end game raiding option

10 man raiding was most popular in SoD, and currently in Cata Classic and Retail. Regardless of what you might enjoy the most, a high majority prefer smaller raids. You got Classic Era for larger raids.

With how many players that have dipped, 10mans need to be a thing. People don’t want to look for 20 players all night, a ton of guilds have collapsed, and so waiting forever to fill a 20 man is just going to frustrate even more players and it is a snowball effect. More competition is going to happen for raids as there is naturally going to be less raids.

You don’t need to replace 20 man raiding or even 40 in the future, have all 3 options, or at least 10 and 40 if you want a smaller and larger raid to satisfy both camps.

Why do 40 man guilds care about what 10 man guilds do? That wouldn’t kill the game. Less options, forcing people into larger guilds they don’t want to be in or forcing them to pug is what will kill P4. Even GDKP pugs aren’t an option now.

I hope they bring Karazhan crypts as a 10man

nah i prefer pugging over forcing people to sit out due to the constraints of 10mans

if 10 mans are the only thing that would prevent p4 from flopping then i think the season should just die and we can all move on.

well i decided to add up total parses for cata 10 and 25 mans last week. there’s about a 3rd more people doing 10 mans than 25s. so your wrong

More people were raiding 10 than 20, and the gap will only get bigger if they force 40 man raiding. I’m not saying they should replace anything or pick 1 over the other. Just add a 10 man option.

If the 40 mans become 20 mans I would assume the 20 mans become 10 mans

Alternatively, you could address that you’re placing an arbitrary limit on what you’re willing to do, and thus aren’t able to do things you’re unwilling to do. That’s kind of… well, that’s kind of how choices work. You’re making a choice.

I much prefer people who understand their choices have consequences. Good and bad. You’re finding out you have consequences for your choice that aren’t what you like, but instead of reconsidering your choices, you’d rather change everyone else’s experiences, as well.

Let me put it this way, as an MMORPG is a game that represents a living virtual representation of another world. It’s not a game that’s meant to be fair. It’s not a game that’s meant to be perfectly balanced. It’s not a game that’s meant to have all things available for all players. It’s a game that presents options and paths to take. Ways to grow, and things to nurture. You’re opting to nurture a 10 man group. That’s fine, valid, and good. What’s not good is thinking your 10 man group is or should be as powerful as a 40 man group. You’ve forgotten that it’s an RPG.

Those with your position seem insistent that an MMORPG is no different than a FPS. They’re different genres with different philosophies behind them. It’s really not difficult to understand.
