Time to add a 10 man end game raiding option

Isnt retail making it so you can raid with NPCs? lol

People are forgetting the MMO part of this game. I’m fine with 20m… maybe make all other smaller raids (Example; Ony, World Bosses) 10m.

Hey that’s funny, you mentioned how these same people oft forget it’s an MMO while I posted about how they oft forget it’s an RPG. Both are true. Both are ignored by the same faction of the player base.

I dont get the instant gratification mentality of todays gamers. Most live in Parents basement and pay no bills. So, its not like they have a 9-5. lol

worked fine in Classic 2019 and SOM pre QA40 without GDKP.

The average age of WoW players are much higher than it was in 2004, when a lot of us started playing. Doing larger raids, 40, then 25, wasn’t that big of a deal back then, because we were younger with little to no responsibility.

Those who play classic style WoW iterations of the game right now, are definitely much older. I did 40 man in 2004/2005 and in 2019/20, and it was very time consuming for many different reasons. We finished Naxx 40, and the hardest part was consistently getting 40 people online on scheduled raid nights.

10 man makes that aspect of the game much easier. Personally, it’s more fun in a 40 man raid, but everything that goes into it is not fun. This is why Blizzard needs the 10 player option.

Hopefully the next time they try Classic+ it’s on a client of the game that allows flex raiding. A 10 to 40 flex raid option would be ideal. That way no one in your guild gets left out and the raid scales in difficulty based on the size of your raid.

while i don’t oppose this idea, there are some problems with FLEX that need addressed first.

  1. keeping difficulty steady. we’ve seen 10man naxx vs 25man naxx vs 40man naxx.
  2. flex’ing all roles not just dps and healers. Retail suffers from “all fights need 2 tanks no matter the raid size”. tanks should flex too.

This I agree with, flex raiding is not perfect, but flex’ing up tanks can be done, just takes a lot more time and resources.

this :expressionless: time to pull the plug on this patient

I’d rather not model SoD after cata. Those people are special

just make 5 mans with portals in citys and different attunements each week…oh wait…

there should be 10 man raids aswell as 40 man raids

Or they could make it to where the raids can start with 10 man and you can build them up to 40 man, hence the higher you go the stronger the raid bosses will be and both higher loot item’s and drops.

This. People seem to forget that just a couple years ago in classic people were doing 40 man raids. Not to mention the healthy private servers doing 40 mans too.

I really don’t know what to say to these people who want 10 mans. You knew the game had 40 man raids at 60 before you started playing You now have 20. I think they made a fair compromise.

SoD has had 0 40 man raids so far and started with 10 man raids. They even said there wouldn’t be 40 man raids…

They started with 10 and people were hopeful. SoD seemed like the project where they could try anything. Again, not saying there should be 10 or 40, why not both?

they can turn all 5mans into 10mans. that’s a very good start.

You played vanilla and classic? How big were the raids at 60? I think that says it all but maybe I think differently

Solo content would be amazing.

did you know every other expansion besides classic has had a 10 man raiding option? its almost like it more accessible and brings more players in…something SoD is struggling with
