Time Rift Instance Full

Here’s a thought. If a world instance is full. Incorporate more than one instance.

Just had same problem with recent Rift

After seeing 130+ players reported on Details!, you’d think that is something Blizzard should have nailed down ASAP. Didn’t they learn after Prepatch and Diablo 4 promo event?

I continue to have this bug despite multiple attempts at Time Rifts and am unable to complete the intro quest “When Time Needs Mending” at all.

I really hope Blizzard sees this and implements some kind of a fix because I’m unable to clear that very first quest period.

Agreed, I feel like I am lucky if an actual hit goes off because of the lag. I have had a few that the rifts just boot everyone out, or people don’t get to hit the “boss” because of the lag being so bad.

Also just got hit with this.

If this is going to keep happening, folks are going to camp the actual rifts rather than doing the lead-ups just to ensure they can get in there.

I’m hopeful this will calm down after a week or so. As it is right now, its unplayable once you enter the time rift, IF you can enter the rift at all. I think Blizz needs to figure out a way to alleviate some of the strain this puts on the servers, possibly by sharding into low pop realms or something?

Also, Leilleath, I saw the rift camping today on Stormrage, lol.

I saw some folks doing it this morning at the 5am EST spawn, and I was one of the poor suckers who did the lead-ups and then got into the rift just as Varian was obliterated. Logged in just now to try and finish it up and found out this was even an issue. >.<

So HOPEFULLY something will be done to address this and soon, for our larger servers where it’s obviously going to be an issue.

This is another obviously bugged behavior. There is no reason a player striving to fulfill the goals of the scenario should be denied completion just because the instance is so full that the boss dies before you can tap.

Very poorly planned and designed.

Just had this happen… entered the instance, as boss spawned, i cast on my mage , and it lags and boots me out. Then the instance is full message. This area needs more than one phase and instance running. !00+ in the area is a bit much. Expecially when spells cast go off 45 seconds after the fight.

Between all of the nonsense with the toys and mess leading up to the start and getting jipped out of actually completing this thing - again - I have a feeling that this weekly isn’t going to be done.

If the soup event needed protection from all the people who want to lay down all of the toys and clickables, I don’t know why that thought didn’t follow here.

And yeah. Instance full, again. Moon Guard. 4pm EST rift.

I had the same issue just now. Blizz needs to either uncap the instance (which would be even crazier lag) or just make it spillover into a new instance after it hits the cap. Thats the much more reasonable option and is generally how instanced/phased/sharded areas work.

Wasn’t a bunch of concurrent instances supposed to be how it worked?

I mean, what’s the point of being instanced content if there’s only one completely full and mobbed instance, and the rest of the players present for it get screwed out of participating?

Blizzard is busy posting about kodo packs and mythic nerfs today… where are they with info about what they’re doing to FIX BROKEN CONTENT THEY ADVERTISED TO US?

I’m actually a bit shocked that there is this many bugs with a piece of advertised content for this patch, and they’ve said absolutely nothing about it. If you don’t get into the portal literally as soon as it comes up you’re not getting in for the boss. The lag in the boss room is unbearable. There’s been no clarification on if the weekly quest is account wide or not. There’s been zero clarification on how the boss loot works. The buff to get loot just doesnt work half the time. But since the patch released they’ve released 2 shop mounts… which doesn’t feel so great.

Two two tickets in right now for loot I should have received.

Total BS that they didnt realize this would happen.

Did they bring back the 2010 servers for this as well?

Unfortunately, tickets will not do anything for you. If the loot was not generated, then you’re not eligible, as you were told in your thread over in CS. Blizzard does not grant theoretical loot.

Ok just some questions.

1: Was this even tested in the PTR ? Because something like this that would of involed a lot of people going into an instanced location should of been if it wasn’t.

2: Even if it was tested on PTR , was it stress tested by Blizzard on patch day ?
If not then why did the game come up about 3 hours earlier then the projected time of 3pm PDT. They could of used some of that time to double check to make sure problems like this didn’t happen or were minimal.

It will sometimes say “The leader of the instance has tried to reset the instance” and I wasn’t in a group or raid. Weird

Tried to enter a rift twice this morning and had this instance full message, as well. I haven’t had this issue until today.

I have not had this happen to me (yet), but a couple hours ago the PuG raid I was with had no less than three or four players unable to zone in.

It was a horribly laggy encounter anyway.  I was among the first to enter the rift, but it was a full minute before my character registered as having interacted with the rocket, and then another minute to fly over to the other airship and dismount.  Someone at that point used Fury of the Aspects, but the boss couldn’t be attacked until the Sated debuff had four minutes remaining on it.  The boss itself didn’t die until around a minute was left on Sated.

Awful implementation all around.  :face_exhaling:
