This should’ve been an instanced thing like the Legion Invasions. Instead, they made 200+ people madly dashing to get into a portal, half of which getting locked out, and the ones that get in lag so bad they can’t see anything happening. I mean, how did this go live?
Tbh, this is what happens when ActiBlizz loses talented staff due to poor management decisions and pay for employees. You get low grade, barely tested content. We are seeing the fruits of the talented people leaving the company.
This content has the staying power of milk, even the most casual LFR/World Content only player has already filled out their entire gear with Veteran track stuff or equivalent from the Loamm/LFR/Vault/Shadowflame crafting every week for months, the only thing worth the time here is the overbudgetted trinket which you can get in 1 day of just rerunning Rifts for flake boxes.
What better way to artificially drive up its staying power than astronomically slowing flake acquisition so the 2 million Rift transmog items take forever to farm.
This wouldn’t even bother me much if the weekly flakes applied to more than one character, which they haven’t for me. I could progress over the coming weeks and get what I want. Maybe that was the intention, but it’s bugged beyond all reason. I think my main issue with all of this is the lack of communication on their part.
Just picked up the weekly Aiding the Accord weekly today on my only toon that did not pick it up last night, and it is changed. Its Dragonbane Keep instead of the rift one that all my other toons got last night.
Totally weird, have never had a different weekly on any toon since DF launched.
I love how you’re in here naysaying without getting the quest for the week isn’t even showing up for subsequent characters implying a bug or change from when you did it or you simply don’t understand the weekly as you keep talking about the bonus quests which bear no relevance to the weekly. I did the weekly on my main. Tanked the main boss and got no bonus quest yet was able to complete the weekly. Every character has seen bonus quests yet no weekly.
They’re losing staff due to snowflake syndrome not bad management. The guy who complained it was bad management was both debunked and outed himself. He literally was crying that they weren’t getting all of their demands met in the workplace “diversity of voice” even though many hit their pet projects in.
TRY reading my reply again! Last night i got the AIDING THE ACCORD TIME RIFT ON ALL MY CHARACTERS(10 of them)! Today, the toon i did not pick up the quest on last night, but went to get it today is DIFFERENT from all of my other toons.
Man talk about comprehension.
The only way ANY of my other toons (besides my first one of the week)got credit for the weekly last night was when, and ONLY WHEN i picked up a quest inside the boss portal AFTER said boss died.
I just did it on 2 different characters so it’s not limited in that way, which is good.
Toohottohandl above me is correct. The 1st day it may have been bugging out for some people but in my personal case, I was just not reading nor thinking things through so that’s why it messed up for me.
That lag though, it’s real. It’s really real. I don’t mind though. It’s still fun to have so many around when doing something like this.
I love it.
Have you done it yet? It’s pretty fun. Because of lag I can only hit a couple mobs if I’m lucky but I still get credit. The boss doesn’t die immediately either so everyone gets a chance to tag it so that’s good.
On my mage I was hitting the big boss pretty good then died but I still got credit so that’s good.
Yeah, I did it twice. My dracthyr alt was my first, because I figured I’d try to get her some gear first. She got an agility trinket, which was weird, but whatever. lol Then I ran it on my hunter (my main) and got like, 263 flakes and that was literally everything he got. Boss dropped no loot, and there was no quest to pick up and turn in.
My DK got over 1000 flakes (makes me think of dandruff for some reason) but my mage got something like 400 flakes & both got the 1 coin thing to trade in for gear so it’s pretty good.
win/win imo.
I already pointed that out, so the reply was not even needed.
LMAO!
But yeah, they can not be that stupid as to make the “weekly” rift quest only doable by ONE toon per account. If thats so, rifts will be deader than ZC a week after release.
