Hi, still looking for a blue to explain what is going on with the weekly. Is it bugged or has it been limited to one character a week or let us know if you guys don’t know what is going on with it. TY.
Idk what is going on with it. I tried to do it 3 different times on same toon, my warrior to complete the weekly.
1st two times the boss never spawned so I left as I couldn’t join a group. 3rd time boss was there, Freya that time and I was able to get in some hits but then she disappeared & most everyone left after waiting around a bit, some were confused.
I know I was but thought maybe the timer ran out. I didn’t get any quest completion either.
So Idk what’s going on with them & I’ll be checking YT today to see if there’s any instructional videos but so far, it seems about as effective and unfun as that protecting the researchers quest in ZC.
**** I found a video. Apparently I was doing it wrong.*
Here’s the vid.
It is, supposedly, one character per account (server?) per week, which is really bad design considering it wasn’t that restricted for other open world events in DF. That would be like limiting a world boss in such a way for no good reason. If this is a bug, then I will happily take my criticism all back. Well, most of it at least. If it’s not…oof.
After you fight a boss in the big portal, ther will appear(sometimes) a yellow ! that is a quest you hand into the same person you talked to to participate in the rift at the start. Like i said, when that quest does not show up after the boss is dead, you will not get credit for the rift.
You will also not get credit if you do not talk to the NPC at the staging point that lets you participate in the rift right when they start.
Completed them on 3 toons last night to get the 1st trinkets i wanted. But like i said, if you do not talk to the NPC at the staging area when the rift starts, you get no credit. You also get no credit if you fail to get the quest inside the big portal after the boss dies. One toon had to do it twice to get weekly credit, because i either did not talk to the NPC, and the quest also did not show up after killing the boss.
I did talk to the NPC when I did it, and I got nothing despite participating from start to finish. There also wasn’t any loot from the final boss, nor a quest for me to pick up inside. Meanwhile, my dracthyr managed to snag all of the above.
I found that they are bugged sometimes. Just like the bad guys health bars will shoot to 20% after one hit, or not move at all until they just fall over. Had this happen at rifts AND also during 3 researchers groups.
I didn’t get anything after completion. Not. A. Thing. I wasn’t in a group. I didn’t get the achievement. I didn’t get credit for anything. This was a cluster.
They have it as the main weekly quest for rep so Idk why they’d make it only for 1 toon per week as I won’t be able to complete it on my other alts.
That sucks.
Yeah, that’s part of why it doesn’t quite add up.
Also on large server, could not even go into rift portal, kept getting ported out with “instance full” message.
I did find, that you really have to kill as many of the lowbie mobs as possible to get each type of chest, green/blue/purple. It was really bugging out last night a few times.
Like i said, got weekly credit on THREE toons. But with the bugs it might take 2-3 times to get that credit.
I think the weekly is 1 per account or server which is beyond stupid, because that means 1 Diluted Capsule per week.
If you are lucky tho, the Diluted Capsules do drop from the boss but you have to be able to get in and actually hit the boss and its not a guaranteed drop either.
Why douldnt they just make it simple like the Forbidden Reach? Blizzard loves taking a good idea and killing it lol
It is not. I git it done on 3 toons and also got 2 trinkets, one each on the first 2. The third only got a small amount of flakes for some reason even though i got 3 chests each of the 3 runs he did.
Yes, The diluted Capsules, if those are those blue round ball things are once a week i thing. Only got one on the first toon of the week.
I was referring to the blue orb thing. The Contained Paracausality is supposed to come with a Diluted Capsule. But there’s a chance they decided 1 item a week was too much and made it a random chance or it’s bugged to hell. I’m willing to assume it’s just bugged to hell.
Once Per Account Per Week. So choose wisely which of your characters gets the 1000 flakes because of this asinine design choice
this confirmed where?
If this is the case then this team has seriously lost touch. Can you imagine adding an open world event for people to do… and a lot of them are going to be altoholics like myself… and it can only be done once a week per account?
That’s insanely bad.
Yeah. I’m hoping this wasn’t intended. I really am. It doesn’t add up given how literally everything else in the game has worked for…well, forever at this point.
You are right. But i did get 2 of those drops that let you get a piece of 402 veterans gear. Both one each on the first 2 and 2 on the third toon. Even though i do not need any of it. Dont care for the mog that much.
But yeah, after 3 rifts on my third toon, with a total of 9 chests, i got a grand total of 650 flakes, i was like wth?
