Are there even people who work here anymore? I finially killed the Time-Lost Proto-Drake last night because I was camping it while finishing the Diablo 4 season. It fell on the side of a mountain and was in a spot I couldn’t loot. I opened a ticket on it but just got a generic automated response. Should I just give up on this game or will keeping my ticket open until someone actually responds actually workout?

There isn’t much can be done. If you wasn’t able to loot it, then the GMs can’t grant a mount that wasn’t earn.

The first response, especially for the game play related issues, is usually a generic response that provides some self-help advice/resources. We receive a lot of tickets that our staff cannot assist with as they often have to do with game play questions (considered game hints) or other issues that CS isn’t involved with).
If your issue doesn’t fall under that subject, please reopen your ticket.

reminds me of the time i went looking and got it myself, i found it and by the time i got close enough i noticed someone else lurking nearby an they ended up getting the kill on it before i could tag…
i sat for about 8hrs…waiting.
it respawned so i chased it to a safe spot and fell to ground along with the drakes carcass and looted it half clinging to the side of the mountain on a very tiny ledge, sure enough history would repeat itself as like i had landed earlier on someone thatd killed it on me, i had killed it on someone else LOL.
no idea how long that 3rd person waited but yeah.
unfortunately for that dragon and the blue drake that shares the same patrol path vyragosa, theres not a very easy way of tagging them without easily dying unless youre on something with a slow fall like a mage or priest or have stacks of noggenfoggers on the chance they give you the levitate effect.
anyways story aside, thats good GMs were able to help you out.

I am having this same issue where I killed the Lost-time Proto-Drake but it fell in an unreachable area. I have a screenshot and everything to help prove it. Can you point me in the right direction on how I can resolve this?

It’s possible things have changed, but in a case like the TL Proto Drake, support used to be able to help because the logs showed the kill and the corpse would often fall on unpathable terrain. In mid 2024 (above) support did help out.
Meaning, if things haven’t changed, submit a ticket (which you may have to reopen a couple times).
EDIT: Sounds like it’s not something that support can assist with.

Unfortunately, our logs are a bit more limited in some respects and policy has shifted that we are not generally able to assist directly with these issues. The AOE looting / loot-a-rang option tends to be the recommendation and reporting issues like this as bugs to see what steps QA can take to try to keep them from happening. Sorry we cannot be more help, Chris.

You most likely will have to get it again. All mounts are now battenet account wide so you should go there on a ranged toon, go right up to where the opening in the mountain side is with the metal pipe opening, and stay there. And that should be right over the frozen lake. You sit there on a flying mount afk and have a /target macro for the mount, you then tag it and it will be right in the middle of the valley so when it falls it cannot fall into a mountain side.
Mage with an instant cast to tag it or even kill it instant cast, then you slow fall or iceblock fall to the ground or blink fall so that way you do not die after you kill it which can sometimes cause it to become untagged so that you loose the loot. I think it is around 11PM on Illidan realm or maybe 3 am there. I forget which time but that is good place to be, and what to do and how to do it. And YES, I did have a friend who killed it but then fell to his death and could not loot. So mage may be best for you. That is best way to get it without it falling into any terrain.
That frozen lake in the valley, next to the open metal pipe. Farm there to get.
