Giving the alliance high elf customizations on void elves was a complete mistake.
I want unaffected night elf customization for Nightborne. There are a few in Suramar, so lore wise, it seems possible.
More void options, yes. I’m a bit jaded over this race being treated as a build-an-elf, so I’m good off customization unless it leans into the original theme.
I think you can get pretty darn close to a high elf already.
My void elf priest:
I thought you all had high elf customizations?
Play a Blood Elf if you want to be an actual High Elf, the rest of us do just select it on the login screen instead of Void Elf, we look way better, have much better customizations and we don’t turn blue, bleed blue, sound weird or have bad hairstyles.
It is implied that some high elves and blood elves are joining the ranks of the void elves each day, I think it is very redundant to have high elves in any capacity at this point, their biology is identical to blood elves and void elves, you can already have a very non void looking void elf (Like Alleria is, which is the sole reason I think the non void skin colors should be available and hair colors), and the blood elves on the horde already have every customization to make a traditional looking high elf.
This ship has sailed already, Void elves are probably the allied race with less need of customizations right now, If they add more I hope is on the void side of things, more tendrils, maybe more eyes, red nzoth like eyes.
Oh here we go again. Sit down and wait your turn. There are races that haven’t received any additional customizations since they released and the elves have gotten more than their fair share over the past couple years. Give it a rest.
It’s always been null.
Quel’dorei nearly got wiped out entirely when Arthas decimated Silvermoon on his path to the Sunwell. From them, Blood elves split off - so you have a little over half the remaining elves left, while quel’dorei kind of scatter to the winds.
Then from an already niche population of a nearly decimated race, you get void elves.
The excuse about high elves ran hollow long ago. Yeah, we can’t play a low-population niche race… so here’s an even lower population, even more niche race!
They only got a few of the skin tones, and absolutely none of the hairstyles nor even half of the hair colors.
Void elf quel’dorei customizations are woefully lacking compared to sin’dorei customizations - so yeah, tbh they need more.
They also need more customizations that lean into the void side, since some folks do play them specifically for that aspect.
Blizzard honestly shot themselves in the foot by not giving people quel’dorei to begin with. Now we have an Allied Race that’s probably in the top 3 most populated on Alliance side, who have a split identity and poor options for both sides of it, all because Blizzard wanted to give people the finger and then caved when folks rightly got upset and asked for what they actually wanted.
I think we can ask for more just as much as anyone else, to be fair.
I do agree that other races are in desperate need of being looked at first, though. What void/high elves I do play, I’m satisfied enough with for now - so I’d really like other races to get some neat stuff first. I just also want Blizzard to get around to providing more and better options for both aspects of void elves, too.
Heck, I want them to give more Man’ari options as well. Two skin tones? Really?
Customization across the board for everyone except night elves, blood elves, dracthyr, orcs and humans is honestly horrid. Especially so for many of the Allied Races.
I’m a Blood Elf main but yeah I’m still waiting for the new customizations for my Kul Tiran, Vulpera and Dark Iron Dwarf Warlocks, as well as new stuff for Mechagnomes despite not having one since none of them have gotten anything new since they were added outside of the basics like bald head and blind eyes which everyone else got as well so I don’t really count it.
Because they’re the same race, one just calls themselves a new name because sad and mad over war
We do have it… we do…
You have a really ugly capital city called orgrimmar. We have a beautiful castle.
Void Elves (and all elf races, frankly) have had their turn.
They can have more once everyone else gets the same attention.
You already have High Elves as a player race, even exclusively. The Horde has no access to the Quel’dorei mounts and tabards.
Combine belf and velf into high elves and shut up. Ty
Ahh not really. It actually helped the Alliance in a way. It finally gave the Alliance High Elves.
Yeah while I’d like my voidelf options these really need some love considering horde counterpart Vulpera are pretty much a new race and these guys are just gnomes with barely any cooler skins
I just want cool high elf tattoos like Alleria has
Void elves should be brought up to the customization level of the other Legion Allied races: Highmountain tauren, Lightforged draenei, and nightborne.
However, they should be brought up to that level using unique assets, because copy paste is boring and lazy and they look painfully low effort compared to their compatriots. And let’s be honest – the void theme is underutilized and their lore is next to non-existent and what does exist is occasionally contradictory.
That being said, pretty much every race needs some extra options, and void elves aren’t the worst off; it’s just that they look sort of sad when you visit the barber shop after you’ve been on another Legion allied race. More customization options for everyone.
This is my entire essay.
