oh i remember that, when void elf got blue and purple eyes and so did belfs and ear mods and so did belfs, and blind eye mods and so did belfs and dark ranger and so did belfs. i dunno why they didnt give dark ranger to everybody to be honest, since sylvannas had some non elf dark rangers, didnt she?

Yes, they have every right to demand. Blood Elves are among the races who were given the least customizations, and the ones they were given were crap.

it counts like this:
you pick feathers and leave everything else as it appeared in character creator. thats 1. you pick feathers and antler #2, thats 2. you pick daises and antler 2, thats 3, etc etc, until every possible combo. the more unique options you have, the bigger the outcome. itslike cracking a code on a safe with a long string of numbers

Those are basically just a list of who has the most categories of options and not how many options there are.
two lists with 10 options
3x3x2x2= 36 combos
5x5= 25 combos
So like with blood elves, the jewelry isn’t really that big of a deal, but with it taking up 5 categories it adds a lot to combos
7 bracelets
2 colors
4 armbands
14 earrings
4 necklaces
so multiple that out, and the jewelry will inflate the number of combinations by 3,136 times.

There is no world where that will happen nor has happened in any Blizzard game.
They’ve given us Void Elves they’re not taking them away. Even if they move to a general “Thalassian” race concept you’ll still be able to be a void elf on the alliance.
Nathanos also trained a bunch of Forsaken to be Dark Rangers. Since its a profession and not a race. Darkfallen is the undead elves.

All RPers really want is a fully playable High-Elf race that is recognized as such in the character selection screen and in quest dialog that calls out your character’s race.
Anything short of that is failing to meet player demand.

Darkfallen are basically dark rangers.
And Dark Rangers used to be exclusively elves.
As said, the story about how it is currently, is ridicolous.

It’s the worst way to attempt to claim how much customization exists for a race.

There are a non-marginal amount of players that want this to be a thing. Catering toward it without actually delivering it is still failing to deliver on that thing that at least some sub-set of players want.
It’s not incorrect to say “failing to meet player demand.” It wouldn’t been incorrect to say, “failing to meet all players’ demands.”

We so badly are. We have five faces , and they are all the same except a scar overlay. It gets frustrating seeing an announcement for new customizations and looking closer to see that yet again, it’s going to one of the elven races. Even the Draenei customization announcement included a few new options for elves.
All the races are lacking, but when it’s time and again the same few who get something new, even just a hair color, while others are neglected it makes players angry. Then we have threads like these, where the arguing bumps it several 100 replies. Then new threads for the neglected races asking for something gets bombarded by elves and then buried.

Darkfallen are all undead elves. Banshees, San’layn, the general population of Elven Dark Rangers.
But a Dark Ranger is little more than a ranger using death magic. That can be taught. Nathanos canonically did so with several Forsaken prior to Legion.
This is the lore and it’s hardly ridiculous. Lol

We align pretty well with what High Elves always were though. Mana obsessed race. It was why we were exiled by Night Elves. It’s the High Elves that still stayed with the Alliance or went back that changed for some of that human potential. Although they apparently still need to visit the well from time to time. So they can’t completely divorce themselves.

There was no need to change ‘Dark Rangers’ from High Elves who died in the scourge attack, turned into banshees and then possessed their own corpses, to whatever it is now.
The new generation of dark rangers, being the ones taught by Nathanos and those who followed, could be dark fallen.
As said, the story is ridicolous.
But it is just blizzard who forgot what dark rangers was.
Along with the community it would seem.

well thats why velf is in the bottom 5, because our categories are basically just
hairstyle, haircolor, eyecolor, skin color, earring, ear length and tentacle toggle.
it fits on one page. we dont have tats, runes or markings on the face or the body , we dont have headdresses, vines, crowns, tiaras, flowers, etc. so no hair decorations. we dont have jewelry and we have received no hairstyles other than the ones we started with 5 years ago.

Interesting how they have an issue w people requesting stuff then the second someone is like what’s wrong w that they try to present it like they never said that in that way lol while playing dracthyr and I think their other fav race is night elf
Just let people request what they want for their races, if someone doesn’t like the specific request that’s one thing but to be mad ppl request anything at all is silly especially after we’ve seen what they’re capable of w dracthyr level of attention
