I have a hero-track neck(Custodian’s Medallion of Delusion) that dropped with one socket. Tiered medallion setting will not add additional sockets. I tried using quality 1, quality 2, and quality 3 tiered medallion settings and all of them have the alert “The quality of your Tiered Medallion Setting is too low to add another socket to this item.” I attempted to use the quality 3 knowing it would ruin the item just to see if it worked and it has the same message.
Not sure what you mean by ruined if you used a Quality 3 - you can take a neck with no socket and use a quality 3 repeatedly to add 3 sockets its just wasteful to do so.
I was under the impression that if you use Q3 it adds 1 socket and then you cannot add more because the quality of the setting has to go up each time and that’s why people emphasize to use them in 1-2-3 order because 1-3-2 or 1-3-3 won’t work, The subsequent medallion setting has to be higher than the one previously used. But that’s not the point of the post lol.
I just got the same error, can’t add any more sockets
Yeah a guildmate was able to confirm this bug. Silly, honestly.
No, the quality of the setting only applies to the socket that it can add.
Q1 settings can only add the first socket (which is why you would never use one on a neck that already drops with a socket).
Q2 settings can add the first and second sockets.
Q3 can add all three.
Doesn’t hurt to get accurate information even if it is this late.
Im having the same error -.- ive tried will all tiers of medallions but wont work
Same here. Reward from Time Walking neck with a socket, but cannot use Tiered Medallion Settings.
bump ^ not working for me either
^Same here. Neck dropped with a socket and can’t add additional sockets, no matter the quality.
Same issues as everyone else here is having. Neck dropped with a socket and can’t add additional sockets, no matter the quality.
Having the same issue, please look into it.
I am also having the same issue.
I am having the same issue. I put a ticket in but got a too busy to answer reply.
This issue now appears to be fixed for me. I was able to add two more sockets to my necklace with a tier 2 and 3 setting.
same issue, but only on an alt…
Bought Dreambound Choker on 2 characters, on my main I applied the 3 medallions with no issue but on my alt i get the “tiered medallion setting is too low” error
Can confirm this is still happening - tried to apply medallions to a fully upgraded Dreambound Choker on my warlock alt, got the error message.
Just got a GM reply and they just said the stupid thing that “you must take into account how many sockets you have and the quality of the tiered medallion setting” but no help with the problem.
If the problem was that you didn’t understand how the Tiered Medallion works, that may have been helpful advice.
when you write a ticket up with all the details and troubleshooting done before having to resort to asking the GM. Then if they read the ticket they wouldn’t reply with the same thing you just told them.
I am having the same issue as of right now. The “tiered medallion setting is too low” error.
