Now I am having this problem with a Dreambound Choker.
I am trying both a 1, 2 and 3 star quality Tiered Medallion Setting but none of them work regardless of the necklace not having a single socket.
Separately, perhaps I should not have upgraded the necklace using Flightstones?
Either way, seems like a bug. And a frustrating one at that.
Please fix!
Also bought the Dreambound Choker and can’t add any sockets. I’m getting the same error absolutely ridiculous.
The hotfix on the 14th stated that they fixed the Veteran track jewelry, but I’m still experiencing the issue with the Adventure necklaces.

So if we open a ticket, the issue gets ignored and we’re told to report it here instead. If we report it here instead, it gets ignored.
I’m just bringing it up again because it just happened today again on another character again.
got the neck from the dreamsurge quest and i have 0 sockets and it wont allow me to put any level of the tiered medallion setting
I have an adventurer level choker with no sockets. I cannot add any with any quality tiered medallion setting.
Why has Blizzard not fixed this yet??? It’s been an issue all expansion… /facepalm
I have a nice looking neck as a vault reward, nice if I can add sockets. Should I take the neck hoping that this is fixed? Or should I just take the tokens since this issue has been ignored for weeks and weeks and weeks?
Bought the Radiant Jewel 480 item level from the event vendor, it’s a Veteran track neck piece. I have tried all three different quality Tiered Medallion Settings, and they are not adding sockets. When I right click the Tiered Medallion the neck piece is blacked out and clicking on it does nothing.
I have the same problem: I can’t add a Tiered Medallion Setting to my Remembrancer’s Radiant Jewels necklace. When I try to add the setting, the neckpiece is blacked out. When I click on the necklace, a tooltip says, “That item cannot be modified.”
