I don’t feel a MMO should have any progress-related content that is strictly solo. I’m fine with content that can also be done solo, like the Delves, but personally I play this game to play with my friends, not to play by myself. There are numerous great single player games if I want to do that, and they don’t require a subscription.
Okay well they should make delves operate so it’s solo content and just solo content then.
As it stands now, it’s just more group meta content.

No kidding. But like I said with my lower DPS I have to do it perfectly for a lot longer. It’s a lot harder to be 100% perfect at dodging for 5 mins vs like 2

Normal dungeons can be done solo, tediously. I still wouldn’t call them solo content. The meta is clearly group.
The game needs a solo meta route to gearing. They swung and missed. Hopefully Blizzard gets it figured out one day.
If the option is there to play solo as a healer, why does the OP HAVE TO (according to other posters here) to play a different role, get better or find friends? I blame Blizzard first, then the players.
Check the ilvl recommendation for Tier 5. You’re probably on 460 gear trying to do something above your ceiling.

So dodge the mushrooms? I just did this one as elemental shaman (which is my OS, cause I main resto) on +8. It’s okay to have to practice at things and not just have a free cakewalk.
It is a free cake walk though. Just get a four-man group. This game doesn’t have any solo gear progression meta.

I have no idea how blizzard are ever meant to make content like devs when half the problem they run into is people playing healers or tanks exclusively and they can’t do the content and complain about it.
Like if they are balanced around you loading up your dps spec and being able to do these things it make sense.
But balancing around never not being a healer? Kinda sounds like a player issue tbh
I blame the players for being so locked into never doing anything else other than healing and expecting content that’s made for solo players that is going to somehow involve a healer being able to do it with out hitting the swap spec button.
I don’t understand everybody deriding the OP for playing a healer. You can configure Brann to be a DPS. Isn’t that the point? You can play healer while Brann plays DPS?
I was silent on whether people SHOULD (morally) do this. I just said it works. And I said I felt bad about it and stopped. But being mean can be the difference between success and failure. If you can’t stop making mistakes yourself, you CAN look for mistakes in others and make sure someone else gets kicked instead.
This is literally the only time I’ve had success in dungeons. I’m the healer. I die. It is VERY easy to say, “Misdirect rtard.” and clear myself of wrongdoing.
I don’t ascribe morality to a game. We all pay to play it. If it’s designed to give success for a certain style of gameplay, I think people should feel free to do that. Nobody is actually hurt. These aren’t our real bodies. Nobody will die.

Yes but delves were sold as an alternative solo gear meta. It’s a group of meta. The changes to the vault are nice, but that’s a token. Not to mention world quests only grant the lowest tier.
It’s how you design things if you’re afraid to allow a solo meta gear progression in your game. It’s like they’re convinced they need to do it, but they’re not capable of it.
