Yeah I guess I mean a tank that has self-healing. On my blood dk it’s a cake walk.
It was a big mistake to make Delves available to groups.
We should know by now from Thorghast and Co. that anything which offers group options is also balanced for them.
Delves should only offer a solo mode and be balanced for that. Groups already have dungeons, raids and the like, what this game needs is a 100% solo endgame content.
my hot take and opinion, this isn’t intended to be against anyone it’s just a personal thought.
Healers are intended to be a supportive role and as a supportive role of course they will be slow and have a bad time if they try to solo. I think those who wish to play healer would be well suited for 2 or more player content, that said they did say these are suppose to not matter what role you choose.
I do wonder though just out of curiosity, why choose a supportive role like a healer if you don’t want to do things in a party? no judgement just curiosity.
Delves are short-form instanced scenarios that you can run solo or in a group of 2-5 players in about 10-20 minutes. Parties of 1-4 players are accompanied by a seasonal NPC companion that can be designated Combat or Healer depending on your needs, so any class or spec can play Delves in any role they choose.
If they aren’t intended to be done by healing specs then why specifically literally say they could be done by healers. If they are advertised as being spec agnostic, telling someone to change specs to a completely different role than the one they want to play means the advertisement and literal description given to us for them by Blizz is false.
This is the equivalent of the old trope of telling someone to roll a tank because the DPS queues for dungeons and raids on their mage are too long.
What are you actually talking about? Why is my opinion less valid than all the QQers?
Sounds frustrating.
For me, I like hard content - makes it sweeter when you beat it. I am up to 5 myself, but I am doing tank first, then i’ll do dps, then the healer, so i’ll get to that spot shortly.
I am pretty sure they meant that you do indeed have dps specs for shaman, you just choose not to use them.
As for myself and higher levels of delves, Ive only done tier 3 so far but am excited to try some higher levels, well until i read this… but im a BDK and can be hard to kill sometimes.
At tier 3 i have no fear of completing the delve but sometimes the bigger mobs seem to take a long time to go down. I hope the rewards will be worth it.
I think the logic here (while deeply flawed) Is that you shouldn’t share your opinion if your for something if people are feeling it’s unbalanced because Blizzard is flawed and suffers from confirmation bias and will only listen to your opinion sense it sides with their current status quo. The flaw in this logic is it creates a scenario where there is no balancing voice. Everything will sound bad and constantly be changing rather it’s actually harmful to the game or not.
I think your correct though, I am generally bad at the game and seem to be progressing through these with relative ease, with one or two exceptions that was a little brutal but likely a skill issue on my part probably missed an important interrupt.
I’m getting 3 tapped by auto attacks on tier 7 and 8 as a plate class with Brann as healer lol. They just don’t test their content.
Healers and tanks can do delves. Healers have done at least T11s in the beta. But healers have to do damage still, just like tanks need to use their mitigation and self-healing.
But the content will not be equally difficult for everyone. Some classes and specs will have an easier time than others.
Also, there is still a skill component. Bountiful T7+ delves award champion level gear, the same as the normal raid (which requires at least 10 people) and a heroic item in the vault. Not everyone will be able to do this with ease, and some probably won’t be able to do it at all, regardless of class, spec or role.
Delves are meant to be solo end game content. Not everyone needs to be able to solo T8 delves on the very first day.
Why can I five-man it then?
So that players like OP still have a chance to get the rewards.
And so that players who actually like to play together with others in a MMO aren’t stuck having to do it solo when they’d rather play with friends. People asked for end game content that can also be done solo - this is it. That doesn’t mean it should be restricted to only solo players.
(4-players max for Delves.)
Delves were designed to allow any spec to solo them, hence why Brann has a DPS spec. They even said that was the intent. Instead it seems like you almost have to be a tank to solo higher tier delves. Tier 8 hits like a truck.
Blizz specifically said they’re meant to be solo end game content that allows for groups so you can play with or without your friends.
I want to be able to sympathize with you; i do - But you’re literally playing a Group-Support spec while not being in a group with any other players… What do you expect? Honestly?
Why did they make Delves a baby Torghast lmao
I think solo content should be solo content. Otherwise let’s just put raids in mythic+ and call it a day.
Torghast was better, didn’t give loot progression so you could just do low levels for the legendary then ditch 'em quick.
These I put up there with M+ at “things I don’t enjoy, but if I don’t do them I put myself behind in gearing for the raid”
Apples and oranges, Delves don’t really operate the same as raids or mythic+'s but flexable group sizes was seen before in raids and this mimics that idea so its not unset precedent. Flex content has been expirmented on in the past and probably will be in the future the good news is, this is evergreen content and so as with all evergreen content ever made there will be multiple iterations of it across multiple expansions until they get it right.
but how much damage do the mushrooms do if you don’t touch them?
