Some of these delves are significantly easier.
It’s similar to Torghast. There were wings I struggled with.

So is your complaint about having to dodge mechanics? Yeah that tends to throw a wrench in a lot of rotations, but i think having to dodge those mechanics is exactly what makes these things challenging.
No it’s normal kobalts doing 600K damage.
Why not just go back to tier 4 then
Torghast and Horrific Visions could be done solo or in a group. It scales to group size.
So this is incorrect.
Thankfully there are not.
Blizzard has some kind of weird obsession with making things difficult for absolutely no reason… what they seem to be REALLY bad at… is making the game go from, oh this is fun and somewhat challenging… to … this is a nightmare scenario that is doing nothing but making the game not fun or enjoyable… there is no inbetween. They really excell at pissing people off in that regard…
I play like OP when I’m a healer, I tend to not use my dps specs or anything because I have trouble learning to be proficient with all the specs. So I get… just decent at one haha.
Anyways when I make a healer I know that it takes longer to kill things. It’s harder to kill beefed up enemies with lots of health.
There is no way. Absolutely no way. That you can expect to solo hard level solo content as a healer without much higher ilvl than a dps or tank. You will have to work at gathering more gear if you wanna beat it as heals.
And just like everything else tanks will take longer to kill their enemies, dps will have to kite and cc and fight to kill things before they are killed.
It’s solo content. But it can scale to our needs. It can be challenging solo content. It could be fun group content. You just have to work with what you can do for now until you get more gear.
It’s like … yes there are more higher levels that can reward you different things. That doesn’t make it mandatory to do it max level. Why is everybody taking it so seriously. It’s flexible content.
It doesn’t scale up mechanics. Having five players trivializes the content because of the synergies. Increasing the damage and HP is a negligible variable. Try doing it on a mage. Bran can’t even be a tank.
This is clearly group meta content.
There was a reason. Holly Longdale specifically told us what their research found:
It isn’t. Sorry you don’t seem to understand how it works.
So Torghast with actual gear rewards
I worked so hard in them. For no real effort. These delves are a lot more time manageable for me
Do tier 3 or 4 then.
It’s meant to be a challenge.
I’ll go and accept your concession there since you have no substantive rebuttal. It does not scale mechanics up, and the synergies of a five-man group is entirely overpowered compared to a mage and a healer (that barely heals).
More akin to Horrific Visions than Torghast. But yes.
And the difficulty is basically tier 1 and 2 is story mode. Tier 3 adds a little more awareness. Tier 4 is where it begins to get a tiny bit challenging. Tier 5-8 is the challenge and where our gear upgrades come in. Tiers 9-11 are bragging rights only and much more challenging.
Yeah Delves suck as a healer.
I could complete the delve by playing a spec that I don’t enjoy, and end up getting some trash Champion gear.
OR I’ll just stick to M+, get instant invites due to being a healer, and spam +7 and above for repeatable chances at end-of-dungeon Heroic loot. Do +10 and get Mythic gear in my vault.
Have fun with that Champion gear, lol…
It’s very hard to make solo content that is equally challenging for all classes and specs. Always has been.
They also were not going to have delves handing out nice (for this point of the expansion) gear to average solo players. The delves that have the nicer gear are going to be very hard for average players until they out gear them. The better players will have an easier time, but that’s the case in all content.
The intent of delves was not content that could be easily cleared by average solo players. It was to create content that was shorter in length – whether you could clear a certain difficulty level was always going to be based on how good a player you were (unless you outgear it), and they specifically said that they intended the delves to be quite challenging as they scale up in tier.
I think a lot of people expected to waltz in, clear up to t8 easily, then go through their hoard of keys, gear up, and then just walk away from delves. And the best players can do that, and I think Blizzard is okay with that given challenge/reward. But the average player isn’t going to be able to do that, and isn’t intended to do that – it’s supposed to be the kind of content that the average player needs to work up over time.
man if only you could play this game with other people maybe they would have a dps or tank spec to help you…
gonna hvae to hard disagree with you on that one. There are plenty of us who only tank or only heal. Making content we can’t do at all when this content was SPECIFICALLY supposed to be role-agnostic would be a big fail…
One shot mechanics are not challenging. They’re just bad design.
Challenging content involves stuff like mage tower. Where you have to know when to use your cooldowns, position yourself properly, even organize mobs in preparation for incoming strategies. Things like that.
Go in a delve with a friend. Get a guildie or use the group finder. My son and I cleared delves through rank 8.
