Why are you bringing up a lower tier of crest when that’s not the conversation?
Yes. Because that’s progression content. That’s where you go if you want higher gear. You run M+ and raids.
Why is this concept so difficult?
Delves aren’t progression content, they are world content. In no universe should it be treated as progression content or part of that gearing.
If you want higher gear, you play the higher ladders. Delves aren’t it.
Idk I did my first +11 at like 611 on priest. If I get a miniboss I can’t walk around I reset, it’s not like having more ilvl would have made the difference there.
And zekvir “??” Pre nerf I was 615, post nerf I redid it at like 575 to see what could be done. Tryna do it naked now (Just staff + jewellery) as a personal challenge.
We are already having few Gilded, every time you use a delvers bounty and open the chest you get 3 gilded crests.
None whatsoever. Those levels should also change vault to myth track to watch the forum fireworks.
The first two weeks I was required due to it rewarding heroic level gear and some strong trinkets.
Delves are extremely boring and I don’t want to do more content that I don’t like to do the content I do like.

I just learned about this in this thread. Too bad maps rarely drop. Assuming 2.5%, it would take five weeks to get three crests if you cleared 8 Delves a week. That is a lot of delves to get enough Gilded crests to do anything worthwhile. Can you even do anything with three crests? So you get a single 3 iLevel upgrade every 2 1/2 months?
I could be wrong on the drop rate, but I’ve run A LOT of Delves, and I’ve only seen 3 maps (maybe four) across all my toons.
Somewhere between 1/10 to 1/15 from a bountiful delve. (only bountiful).
Our warrior got 7 in week 1, on 1 char.
I got 4 in 2 days week 2 and haven’t seen another since.
But that’s no longer the case for you.
Even IF Blizz added gilded crests to T11 Delves, it would likely be 2 at the end of the run. It will still be faster to do M+8 if you’re just trying to farm crests.

Delves are to easy to award gilded crests.
I really feel like map has some weird RNG manipulation, like it’s dependent on your ilvl or something.

You do realize the highest anyone doing delves can ever get is hero track, right? It doesn’t matter how many gilded crests they get. Unless they decide to do M+ or mythic raiding, the best they can do is fully upgrade that gear. Your gear superiority over those people is assured, so stop worrying about it. Nobody is taking anything away from you by letting casual players enjoy themselves for once.
Besides, some of those dungeons are a joke at +8, and some of the mythic raid bosses are too. Trying to pretend all +8s and mythic raid fights are so incredibly difficult is disingenuous.

You do easy content you get lower rewards this isn’t a hard concept.
Even the easy dungeons are still miles harder than delves.
Its around 5% per each blue chest we open to get a delvers bounty and around 10% to get one if zekvir appears (extremely rare to happen) and you loot the claw.
And yeah no one is capping their gear upgrades @ this rate but I see them as a freebie, getting gilded at Delves lvl 8 def a bonus.

Gilded crests are in fact a food stamp currency now for ‘below the poverty (progression) line’ players - they’re no more exclusive than the welfare epics that have proliferated the game since Wrath of the Lich King.
Is this a bad thing though? No, not really. If Blizzard wants everyone to have a slice of the pie at every level then I’m for it.
If you mythic raid and push keys at 8 and above, you’ll still be leagues beyond the average Delve goer.
t8 delves would be fine for 1-4 gilded depending on how many lives we have at the end.
60% of profiles haven’t gotten the achievement for completing a t8 delve.
Keep in mind that players can group for these and get the cheevie.
For that matter we can limit gilded to solo only runs.
can also put other restrictions, like if you’ve timed a +8 key or above, no gilded from delves, or any other manner of restrictions to prevent m+ and raid players from over gearing the content to farm them.
This wouldn’t work.
If Delves at Tier 8 offered anything more than 1-2 Gilded Crests per run, geared folks would group up and sweep them in 5 minutes per run.
4 crests per run in 5 minutes sums to 48 Gilded Crests per hour. That would be ridiculous and people would cease running M+ below certain levels.
2-3 crests max from bountiful only delves at tier 10 and higher should be compromise.
