T9+ was always meant to be just for the challenge. Same with Zekvir in general. These things weren’t designed to be part of any progression system.
Which unfortunately means most of the people delves are aimed at won’t touch them.
Why not? A lot of the folks delves are ‘aimed at’ aren’t even clearing t8s yet. They have plenty of room to progress still.
That could be said about Delves in general. In the end does it really matter?
We sure we should be taking that at face value considering Blizzard gutted M+1-20 from previous seasons and now anything past 10 is for the challenge?
It is nothing but an arbitrary limit, nothing is set in stone.
You reach 619 on all slots without gilded crests. You won’t need them to tackle +11s, and the aspects of +11s that you can’t handle are so outright overtuned the extra 3-6 ilvls won’t make a difference. The minibosses just need fixing.

I think Delves are fine as is.
You add rewards to extra Tiers, you get M+ crowd complaining that it is better to do Delves than M+, and that they hate Delves.
Let M+ have their incentive and their system fixed, Delves do not need to be touched, they work in a wonderful way to the actual audience they aimed at.
The hotfix to +8s was not an opening of the floodgates, it was a mild easing of the gearing system requirements. Delves are far too easy to be able to receive Gilded Crests from. If anything, maybe hero track loot as a drop for +10s and +11s but I feel like people would just stop farming +7 keys again and we go around and around.
I’m not really speaking to how things may (and probably will, since delves are intended to be an evergreen feature) change in the future, only to how it is now. Of course, if things do change, it’ll be equally invalid to try making comparisons back to how things currently are since the rules will have been changed. But for now, going beyond 8 is strictly just because you want to.
I don’t see the problem with t10’s dropping 2-3 gilded crests. Would make farming mythic appearances easier to stomach.

Out of curiosity how much do they drop for in M8?
Crests are always 12 for a timed key and 5 for untimed.

I’d rather not be forced into delves anymore than I already am.
I would agree but only from 4 bountifuls a week, dropping 5 from each one. This way you can upgrade 1 piece of heroic or mythic gear a week, while also incentivizing the top player base to run delves as well
I think they should increase the amount you get. Like 2 per 8 is so small

I assume you’ve out geared it and it doesn’t chuck 1/2-3/4 of your health?
Delves are in a good spot for difficulty if wowheads database is any accurate.
Getting gilded crests for t9’s sounds about right for difficulty and reward.
The m+ crowd needs to chill.
No one is taking anything from them.
They got their easy gilded crests yesterday.
Letting the delve crowd have the same thing isn’t too much to ask.
T8 is almost a ceiling rn at 40%, and 15% of profiles have t9 done.
Only ~15% of delvers would be getting them.
