We’ve been extremely excited watching both existing players and brand new players level fresh characters in Season of Discovery these past several weeks since we made rune abilities purchasable on the Rune Broker.
With Phase 7 coming up fairly soon, we’re looking at ways to help new player-characters get caught up and ready for this new content. The role-specific set bonuses are incredibly impactful in Season of Discovery and a large part of player power, so we’re making all eight Tier 1 set tokens, and the belt, bracers, boots, and glove tokens for Tier 2 available on the Tarnished Undermine Real Vendor. Prices will be as follows:
This should allow new and existing players catch up on the Tier 1 and Tier 2 set bonuses they might be missing in preparation for the new content.
We do not want to totally invalidate older raid content. We currently have no plans to expand the raid equipment present on the Undermine Real vendor, and we’ve focused this change exclusively on giving newer characters access to set bonuses that may be critically impactful to their character progression.
These will become available with scheduled weekly maintenance in each region.
Bro fix the drops in AQ, been running in 3 characters and the good loot drop rate is so utterly bad. Never seen Kalindors, Dark Edge or the cloth belt from cthun. Meanwhile we get 2-3x of the same crappy loot every time.
Has anyone seen Qiraji Execution Bracers, Gloves of Enforcement or Belt of Never-ending Agony? Not seen ANY and we’ve cleared every reset. Can’t even use my ring cause I’ve got no timeworn gear. What a waste of a mechanic.
My spriest is on the same boat, can’t make use of the ring because timeworn gear never drops, on top of every caster needing the same pieces. P6 was by far the worst and most frustrating part of sod.
The gear this phase feels the same as ST. Rubbish drops, way too rare. I ran ST every reset and never got BiS, and this phase looks just as bad. Still stuck in ZG and BWL gear because losing set bonuses tanks my DPS. Really hoping Naxx finally lets me bin this old stuff. Sick of using ZG gear.
LOVE THIS CHANGE, I just hope the people that SR the T2 boots/gloves in my BWL tonight don’t see this and compete with me on the chest and leg pieces lol. This is seriously awesome blizzard, I was also thinking about leveling a shaman but having to go through a weekly MC again and try to slowly get T1 pieces and then eventually go to BWL on them, I can now mainly focus on real runs and buy the pieces, while still going to MC for other gear upgrades like ring, weapon, etc. LOVE THIS CHANGE, please keep it up!! Also, PLEASE CONSIDER ADDING NEW 5MAN-10MAN content as much as possible so we have new places to get reals from. It’d be nice to consider another big size one like scholo/strat where you get a lot of reals in a run. When TBC expansion first came out, it was so nice doing ramps/bf runs as it was new zone/feel, etc. At the very least, make the guards and other named NPCs in Dire Maul North drop reals, makes no sense you get like 1-2 reals from that place, so like no one cares to do runs there.
