Ticket system

This question is more directed towards Blizzard customer support and developers. What is the point of a ticket system that effectively accomplishes nothing? Why is it that years ago when you submitted a ticket about an issue, 9/10 times you actually got a resolution, yet nowadays you get nothing but an answer telling you to submit a bug report? Does that fix my issue? No. It’s your company putting your job on your paying customers. It’s not our job to find all of you MAJOR bugs that are constantly impacting your player base’s gameplay / progression. It’s your job to ensure your content functions properly prior to release (or at least without major issues). But instead, it’s put on the players and when they find issues and submit tickets you just say, “submit a bug report” and offer no actual resolution. A gaming company that’s made BILLIONS and can’t even fix loot problems. DO BETTER!

The developers put in a great many self help tools to free up the GMs time to deal with other issues. If there is no path to ticket something, then that means that it isn’t something that a GM can assist you with.

Gms never fixed bugs unless they were told they could then and now posting in bugs is still solid advice.

First off, it’s an extreme revisionist history to say that submitting a ticket got a resolution years ago. The answers were not dissimilar to what you get today. The only difference is that the ticket system used to be open-ended, which meant anyone could open a ticket for anything they wanted, including asking for game hints or asking for a GM to appear in game and tell a joke.

Second, no matter when you opened a ticket in WoW’s lifecycle, Bug Reports were always only taken through the Bug Report Forum. In fact, they have actually added the option to submit one in game, instead of coming to the forums.

If there is a bug, they fix the issue for everyone. If they try to individually change things for you, then when they implement a broader fix, it’s going to screw you over again.

And you’re not asked to. They catch a lot themselves, at all stages of development.

Actually, you have agreed that the game is provided as-is. It’s not guaranteed to be error-free, and there’s no guarantee that issues will ever be fixed.

Ah, now we get to the heart of the issue. It’s a loot issue, and that is DEFINITELY something they cannot help with. It’s also not likely a bug, but even so, the only way you can be sure that it’s on their radar is by reporting it in…the Bug Report Forum. Or using the in-game Report A Bug feature.

Regardless of whether or not you like the answer, that is the answer.
