My Gametime is about to expire, and I’m afraid I won’t get my tickets addressed. I want to re-subscribe but having to wait upwards of 3 days to get issues addressed that I brought up a week ago, lack of help to newer players, continuity of GM addressing a concern, and just constant disconnections are really starting to irk me and cause me to not want to re-subscribe. I enjoy the game, and I understand you’re all going through a launch and are extremely busy. But please I could use some assistance before my Game time runs out in about 34 hours.
I got disconnected and as soon as I logined I had gained experience and was lvl 21 from 20.
Tickets get addressed regardless of game time tickets are sitting at 2-3 days atm and the launch has nothing to do with tickets either. Have you tried posting in tech support for the dc issue.
I don’t think that’s the issue…
I think that’s what they’re enquiring about, possibly
I guess you are asking Blizzard to de-level the character?
Thank you Nephe, I am inquiring about that.
Thanks for clarifying. Not sure if that is something Blizzard can do, as there is a way to turn off XP gain. They might be able to shed light as to why you leveled up though.
I’d kinda suspect that you had leveled just as you disconnected, but did not see that you leveled. So, when you were able to log back in, the game caught you up, and leveled you. I don’t think there is anything nefarious going on.
Very very rarely does Blizzard ever revert someone’s level. And even when they do, there has to be specific circumstances for it to be allowed. This doesn’t sound like one of them.
While it sucks, if you are wanting to be level 20 and stay level 20, I’d suggest deleting and remaking the character (same name if you want to keep it), level it to 20, and then go to the EXP NPC and turn your Experience off.
No: I entered the Seething Shore’s battleground. As I entered the battleground loading screen the client was flashing in and out, and I was subsequently disconnected. I Already had the Experience Debuff from Shlatz(10g one) activated before going into the BG. My client crashes so I login again later, and come to find im lvl 21 as an exp drop when I login.
Future note: It’s best to give relevant info, such as having turned off exp already, when asking for assistance.
That would be the ideal solution if I didn’t specifically pay game time and use wow tokens to purchase BOE gear from the AH and level up professions, so I had the option to play Unsubbed at lvl 20. Time and money should be respected, and if your game is not working as intended and I’m at a loss for it, I don’t think I the customer should shoulder the burden of expending more time and money to make another character, when they could just fix it with a few keystrokes.
It sounds like you will have to wait on your ticket, as I don’t believe the SFA’s have the authority to do as you are asking. Last I saw, tickets are 2-3days right now.
Not every Blizzard employee can do everything.
Conjecture. What they possibly could do in theory could very much be against policy. You don’t know the ins and outs of what they can and can’t do, to be blunt. Sometimes things happen. You can only wait for the ticket to be processed, and it will. In the order it was received as with everyone else. Posting here is not a way to circumvent the ticketing system as the SFAs here do not answer tickets, and GMs and Devs do not come to this forum.

I understand, I’m just the squeaky wheel right now because I’ve lost so much time doing this instead of my midterms/school/work/life, and now it’s as if I didn’t make any progress at all. As if it all just disappeared. I’m extremely frustrated.
Completely understandable. It might be a good idea to take a step back from the game for a day or two, and wait for that ticket to be answered. You’ll get a response via email as well as one ingame.

Alas, you’re correct. I’ve come to my senses. Thank you for your time, and I appreciate your advice.
