I farmed Thunderfury back in 2022, on a warlock. I was farming the MC armor sets when the binding dropped and shook me to my core (no pun intended) since I have played this game for 18 years and it was the first time I ever saw it drop. It took over a year for the 2nd binding to drop, and then I completed the quests as fast as I could.
I logged into the character today and went looking for it. It wasn’t in my bags, my bank and when I went to check void storage it was gone. What was in my bank, though, was the bow, Thori’dal from Sunwell which that toon never farmed or received.
I checked the quest log to make sure that the character had completed the chain, and it matches. So why don’t I have Thunderfury and have Thor’idal instead? How can I get it back? I opened a ticket in game and was directed to item restoration but that service said that there were no items that could be restored.
If it doesn’t show in the item restoration, then there is very little chance a GM can help.
Honestly, I am just as confused as you are myself. I think it might be best to move this thread over to the Bug Report forums, because I don’t know what else can be done, and it does sound like there is a bug where something is not quite right, so that is my best guess.
Thank you, I have done so. I had 3 of the swords, the 2 that were in void storage, on different characters, are gone and the one that was in my Shaman’s bank (was farming the MC armor set and both bindings droppd in one run within a few minutes of each other) is still there.
Any items that were in the Void Storage would’ve been transfered to the character bank in patch 11.2. Did you check the bank, there would’ve been a tab there saying Void Storage with everything that was in Void Storage located there.
The Thori’dal, the Stars’ Fury was acquired in 2020.
As far as I can see the only active Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker (because you have to say the whole thing)… is on your level 80 Orc Shaman, acquired November of last year.
With that said… Did you use the Gear Update at some point for that character? Because from what I can see you have a lot of items under your Expired Mail, the Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker being one of them.
Expired mail is tricky, it may be visible to us but not necessarily something we can restore and while we certainly would want to help when we can, the most we can do is restore from deleted. We cannot usually create an item fresh.
My recommendation would be to submit a new ticket under Items and Mail. Let them know that it should be under Expired Mail and see if it can be restored from there, as you wouldn’t have access to it.
It was already restored, maybe log into that character and check the character’s mail. It doesn’t look like the character has been logged into since yesterday.
