Ah. Clever.
This right here is one major reason why the classic WoW era is so much better than the post wrath era.
When was the last time any of you were excited to grind out a mundane item in the game. /excited to go back home to the real azeroth.
The only other item I was excited to grind for was Ashes of Alar, but you’re right. The major difference between then and now is then everything felt earned. You didn’t walk into a raid with full epics, you walked into a raid to earn them, slowly, difficultly. When leveling when you found the first green you could wear you were ecstatic, now you toss away a random boe epic because you bought the transmog and even if it’s better it won’t be in two levels so it’s not worth the hassle.
I can’t remember – was there a key chain in Vanilla, or did they take up bag space?
Good Question, if I recall, there wasn’t. they took up bag space, I don’t think we got the keyring til BC.
Looks like it was added 1.11.0 according to this:

Was limited to 12 keys tho, so storage was still an issue in late-Vanilla.
Ah okay, so we might have a keyring.
According to wowpedia, it looks like it was added in 1.11 with a max of 32 keys held. Removed in 4.2. I remember having the symbol on the bar but not how many it held total.
I really hope that’s in. I never liked that those tiny keys took up so much bag space, but if it’s not… we’ll live ^.^
I still have the Seal of Ascension on 2 characters. I will get it again in Classic as well because opening the door gets you in groups but the reactions to using the ring during the Rend Blackhand fight is priceless from those that are unaware.
This key is actually an equipable ring. If I remember right you also have to be wearing it to open the door as well.
I thought you weren’t going to be playing Classic?

You shouldn’t try to blackmail Blizzard if you don’t plan on following through. It’s a childish way of trying to get what you want.
Yep, I think that’s how it worked!
I thought I still had mine too but cant find it in my inventory
check your void storage.
UBRS key will be my first priority upon hitting 60!
Wait, we Are getting original graphics? The only real change is water; nothing else uses retail textures or models.
I had every key on three characters in vanilla and will have every key on my characters in classic. They were not hard to get, just time consuming. I also never had a problem getting a group for UBRS. People are panicking due to being so used to LFG. Not having LFG was never a problem in vanilla and classic will be fine without it as well.
As long as you have not destroyed your own server reputation you will never have an issue finding a group during common play time hours.

I think most people on the classic forum are as enthusiastic as you are about the return of a LFG-less world!
I want to have all the keys.
Were rogues able to pick the UBRS door?
Even leveling in BC, I got all kinds of tells of “hey, could you come heal this dungeon for us?”. To which the response is, “I’m leveling with a guilded warlock. I’d be happy to heal if you have space for him as dps.” I never had to find a group; groups always found me.
